It's the unfortunate consequences of becoming more successful but losing focus. (This sounds better)
What I mean is that when companies become rich and powerful, the tend to seek out social justice missions in lieu of staying true to their conservative roots.
LSU got to where it was because they recruited (relatively speaking) the best and brightest of the state. But now that they have reached national recognition, they want the social power that comes with that. This inevitably has lead to groupthink that the globalist love to implement.
What I mean is that when companies become rich and powerful, the tend to seek out social justice missions in lieu of staying true to their conservative roots.

that's the only way to stop this nonsense. The progs wanting to cancel everything aren't the type of people that donate. The scream and holler and make other people pay to keep them happy. When the bottom lines aren't what universities want them to look like, they will get the message.

Has any LSU alums started a petition to have Tom Galligan replaced ASAP? His handling of the "racist video incident" has shown that he is incompetent and spineless. After the damage that F King Alexander did to LSU the last thing the LSU community needs is to have Galligan's interim tag removed.

Graduated in 08. I don't remember too much liberal/sjw propaganda going on while I was there (other than the reveille). Everyone pretty much got along too. Then social media ruined pretty much everything.

Who votes on where state budget money is allocated? Every year the schools leaders go to the legislature begging for their share of the booty. State representatives if given the directive by enough constituents may just be a little more stingy with those dollars.

I graduated in '12 and IIRC it was right after F. King Alexander took over that the crackdown on conservative organizations like Greek Life and the pandering to the SJWs really started.
