Evil permeated this country, even down now to small town America. There is no changing it.

Stop filing federal income taxes. What would happen if 100 million people did that? Break the system.

Not to be smart, but aren't we already broke?

Democrats are worried what Trump will do as President

I am worried about the corruption inside our government combined with the snowbowl impact of the national debt...

it's just a matter of "when things collaspe"

Funny, I've been thinking about a scenario in which liberal cities stuck in red states declare independence from those states and request the protection of the federal government. The way things are going, I could see this happening in places like Miami or New Orleans.

While this scenario isn't likely, it does seem way more plausible to me than red cities separating from blue states. Hell, I can't even think of an example of a red city in a blue state.

I think we're still pretty far from those scenarios, people seem pretty happy with the status quo despite constant protests.

We're running the same two we ran last time and didnt learn much from it. Incumbents are pretty much sho-ins.

Theres a lot of wanting change at the top, which isnt going to happen without change at the local and state levels. I think people are wanting radical change without putting in the work themselves in their own communities.

People love to complain, but their actions show contentment.

I completely agree, Roger. It is more of a thought experiment than anything else. Kind of inspired by Balaji Srinivasan, although I find his version of the return-to-city-state idea to be sophomoric or even puerile. (E.g., he completely ignores the possibility of military intervention by nation-states, and he overestimates the stability of a world that runs on bitcoin).

Still, as thought experiments go, it is an interesting one. The techlords are already kind of toying with the idea and bought land outside of San Francisco to build a new city. Hubris at its finest!

Ive thought about this too, issues are far less important than some sense of identity with the candidate. For some, thats just name recognition.

MAGA seems like 1960s Democrat populism.

The city state ideal is only something feasible after some collapse, and that would be a short lived period. Its impossible to isolate, but you do what you can.

This is how I would describe both Democrats and Republicans. Neither is aware that they are absolutely burning this country to the ground. Republicans are worse because they are tearing this country apart and calling it patriotism.

I don't care if they call themselves Republicans, conservatives, America First or MAGA, if they stand against Obama's pledge to fundamentally transform America in to a Faux cultural Marxist Utopia that promotes Globalism......I stand with those Americans to derail that evil BS!

Oh, is that what life was like before the 17th Amendment? We didn't agree on direct election of senators for a reason at the start. They were supposed to be elected by experienced legislators who could see through and support, or deny, the BS tricks employed by the senatorial campaign.

And now we have Kamala and Cornyn (and plenty of others). That control may have helped. People that voted for AOC apparently think she can solve their garbage issues, as a federal employee? Never quit not reading, lefties.

By any means necessary.

The useful idiots enabling this stated goal of the CCP seem to believe they will be spared.

Perhaps the elite will, most won't.

We're facing a battle with dark forces.

Do not fear, God wins.

Spread the good word, love your neighbor, pray for the enemy, live a life worthy of praise and set the example of integrity and faith.

Light always defeats darkness.

On a personal level, not associating with left leaning people is a positive step. These associations do not benefit us in any way.

It's sad that people still think in these terms. Not because democrats don't suck, but because the GOP was infiltrated many decades ago. The biggest companies in America donate to both parties, and they get similar results.

What kind of moron looks at someone like Lindsey Graham and says, "Thank God he's not democrat"
