The government negotiating prices is the free market now?

Sure. Sure.

Nothing about the pharmaceutical or medical industry is anything approaching a free-market. Unfortunately, in a knee-jerk response to pinkos wanting government run (or at least paid for) healthcare, many will succumb to sucking Sackler dick.

It seems you are confused by what constitutes a "free market".

Nothing is free market once the government is involved.

How Do Free-Market Conservative Poliboarders Feel About Government Price Fixing?
What an odd question.

It would suck, obviously!
Free market folks don't want the government anywhere near price-fixing.

Healthcare should either not be tied to employment, and all of us should have to buy it personally and compete for prices with each other not huge corporations, or it should be single payer and negotiated entirely by the government as it is now. One is a free market, and the other is socialism, and either of them would be better than the Frankenstein monster we have now
