Obviously a lot of folks on each side believe that the ends justify the means. As BigScrubTX pointed out, you have droves of evangelicals voting for the guy who cheated on the mother of his infant son with a sex worker and categorically denies ever asking God for forgiveness, simply because that guy is going to put pro-life folks on the Supreme Court.
You can certainly believe one side has more hypocrisy or lies than the other, but don't be so naïve as to believe your party is incapable of those kinds of things.

Think about it.
The ends - Freedom and removal of responsibility, justify aborting an unborn child.
The ends - Self affirmation and positive self image justify legitimating transgenderism/etc.
The ends - More money for the government to spend on all peoples - justify the means - unfair taxing.
Etc.
And so forth. They are only concerned with superficially "good" end goals and do not care about how to get there.

What I find astounding is how many Catholics are Democrats.Pelosi,Biden,Kerry.On a local level,several of my old classmates (that are practicing Catholics )from Menard supported Obama and Hillary and hate Trump.Even the former head chaplain(a priest) at our local hospital is a die-hard Dem.I have had some heated arguments with them.Ask how they can support the party of abortion,they reply with a nonsensical argument that their position on the other issues out weighs their position on abortion.Push them a little and they get pissed.That is total unadulterated bullshite,the position of the Catholic Church is the right to life is #1.Cafeteria Catholics is what I call them,really gets them triggered.
As far as myself,I dumped the Catholic Church years ago.It’s the most hypocritical religion on the planet,at least of the religions I am familiar with.

But those "means" are pretty unimportant in the grand scheme of things. That isn't an affront to anyone but the person involved. No one says "you can't elect someone who has sinned and won't repent." Judge not, lest ye be judged and all of that. Most Christians should almost EXPECT to nominate sinners, as they would believe we all sin to some degree.
That's more of self imposed moral inconsistency rather than a real problematic pathway like ignoring science, or framing the right to life so it fits your argument, etc.

The problem you currently have is trying to explain to normal people how violence, killing people, burning cities to the ground, rewriting history, cancel culture, etc, is on the same level as committing adultery.

As in all cases when someone denies facts, they have 2 choices to explain themselves and their behavior:
1. Stupid
2. Liar (covers complicity too)
There are no other reasons that make sense in any factual logical universe.

I encourage everyone to stop sitting back and start speaking the frick up. I'm done being quiet- for too long I've seen lefties (and now even moderates) posting AOC quotes on Facebook for example and not being challenged.
