Does anyone know how difficult it is to get a room at that DC Hilton when a major event is scheduled?

I wonder if the shooter had some friends that helped him?

You can book it through the Hilton app.

Apparently, teacher of the year pays better than most people think. Even if they’re part time.

Maybe Soros, Nancy and Gavin gave him an advance for his future "No Kings rally" stipend?

I’ve been an HHonors member for 20 years. Stay at either that Hilton or the Doubletree in Silver Spring whenever I stay in DC. It’s simplicity itself. And it’s OVER after this

I'm more concerned with the fact that his family reported his behavior and his "manifesto" to the eff bee eye, but the eff bee eye failed to look deep enough to determine that the would-be-assassin had rented a room at the hotel where the POTUS was scheduled to appear, some 2,700 miles across the nation from his home.

As much as bug eye Patel wants to tell you how great the FBI is they really arent......and the Secret Service is worse. The women at Butler was like a comedy show and the dude that was just chilling when the guy Saturday just ran by him and would have been to inside the room if he was the last line of defense, he took forever to realize what was going on and when he did he went backwards.

It's a Hilton property and is open to the public - NASA has an annual GSFC gala there - the last one was about two weeks ago - I have been to a couple of them - some of the local PhD candidates had a deadly shoot-out at the hotel entrance a few years ago.

I use Trivago as a tool. I’m a HHonors, IHG, and Choice member. ALWAYS compare the inhouse price to the third party price, and I have no problem letting them know that I found a cheaper price 3rd party. Most times I get a room upgrade or a voucher on a future stay but I got an upgrade to a Waldorf-Astoria instead of an ordinary Hilton back during COVID days. Best hotel stay ever!

He was planning something he didn't intend to get out of alive. It's a simple thing to get a credit card to hold a room.

I don’t think the FBI would admit the number of people that routinely make threats.

I also don’t think people admit how many Trolls exist that report non existent threats on behalf of people they dislike.

Unless you’re willing to dismiss collateral damage, this is just how things are.

I’ve stayed there for DC Mardi Gras and it’s next to impossible. I’m firmly convinced that the shooter had help from one of his Wide Awake friends to get reservations

I stayed there for an OSHA conference 30 years ago, at least. What I most remember is that the doorman told us not to go outside after dark. Said we were ok there in the lobby and if we needed a cab to wait inside for it. I remember hearing sirens off and on all night. Also remember lots of beautiful young Georgetown coeds getting in and out of diplomat limousines.
