I have read a couple of snippets of people being angry because he called out "all sides"... what is inappropriate about that? I kind of quit following politics/political news, but what exactly did he say that was wrong? I've seen a couple of references to this notion on here and I have yet to figure out what people are referring to.

By calling out both sides, he doesn't allow the left to virtue signal or exhalt their contingent of commies who can't be wrong because they're fighting Nazis.

nothing really if you're not thinking in terms of partisanship

i mean one side's group did have a victim of murder, so that slightly changes things, but both are responsible for violence

but what exactly did he say that was wrong?

he said some stupidity yesterday about the confederate generals. that was retarded

Bad behaving lefties and bad behaving righties have something in common.

They are both bad and they both deserve being called out.

With him saying there are some good people who are Neo-Nazis wasn't a smart thing to say. The descriptive word "good" should never be used to describe a Neo-Nazis.

Because in America it's ok to commit political violence against people who don't like Jews. I'm pretty sure that's in the Constitution.

Bc the Leftists and cucks are irrational and will take exception with everything 45 does regardless of how objectively logical it is

Just looked up the confederate generals thing. Honestly I hate that I'm putting him in the same sentence as these other guys, but I could totally see a JFK or an Eisenhower making a similar observation. I don't agree with you that it is a stupid remark.

This.

And well said and great point: who can't be wrong because they're fighting Nazis.

Same reason why saying 'All Lives Matter' instead of BLM makes you the devil

I'm kind of reminded of how Obama was given a pass, even by conservatives, on being pretty fricking equivocating at the Dallas PD funeral last year (and in general on BLM/race relations).

That was the beginning of all this IMO.

He says plenty of stupid shite, and his delivery is always AWFUL!

Won't blame Nazis for being Nazis. The fact that he is sort of bringing the term back is crazy. He as always does not help himself or any semblance of a message by going off script. "When do we start tearing down Washingtons statues?" Was his dumb comment. I even agree to an extent that there needs to be a defined ending to the outrage over these fricking statues. If you tear down the monuments of every slave owner or Blue Blood whose family owned slaves? What is left?

At a certain point Trump supporters have to get bored with him ONLY causing Libs to "Melt".

He flip flopped on what he had to say 2 times in three days.

This is where a lot of people land with either side, and I agree: from the beginning, being either a Nazi or a white supremacist, you are just wrong. There's nothing redeeming about what you stand for and you shouldn't exist. Not saying you should die, but I'm not going to go "oh, so you're a Nazi, I'd like to hear more about that so I don't have a false opinion of where you stand". No. It's just......no. So in most eyes, there shouldn't have been any dancing around that. It wasn't in question whether or not those parties were present.

There's a public perception that antifa is fighting the good fight against facism and bigotry, and more power to them if that's true, but we all saw that their approach was no better than any other domestic terrorist group. I remember when that guy proclaiming to be a Nazi was celebrating at DC for the inauguration and he got sucker punched, people were praising that and saying "there is nothing wrong with punching a Nazi, if you think so than talk to my grandmother who was in a camp". OK. If the person is an honest to God Jew-hunting-dragging-your-family-to-a-gas-chamber Nazi, by all means, knock his arse out. But some idiot kid who has chosen the wrong path but hasn't actually harmed anyone, yell at him all you want but resorting to violence simply because they are saying a bunch of dumb shite does more harm than good.

Everyone is super angry right now and both sides are convinced they are 100% in the right. Nothing is going to get better in this environment.
