Have not been paying any attention, but an acquaintance told me today that it is close.

True?

Is this the one where Tills grand daughter or nice or something is running in the eyes of racism?

The polls make it look close and Cindy Hyde Smith is probably the laziest Senator in the country but she's going to end up winning.

Not close

I’m sure there was some smoke because Trump planned a rally here suddenly, but he just likes to go places where people will smooch his arse

No chance in hell MS is anywhere near the margin of error

Only in cases of black women voting Democrat, can you consider a vote as "non competitive". At least on paper, a 60/ 40 vote split looks kind of close, but it is considered not competitive.

MS consistently votes 54-58% R no matter the race or candidate

Governor
Senator
President

2012 Romney got 55%
2016 Trump got 57.9%
2020 Trump 57.4%
2024 Trump 60.8% (higher black vote pct than normal went R)

Cochran in 2014 got 59%
CHS has gotten 54% in three elections
Wicker has gotten 57,58 and 62 in his last 3.

We are consistent as frick. MS is whites vote 90% R and blacks 90% D with a population percentage about 60-40. The few in the middle swing the 4-5% points between 54-60% range

Good analysis but I think this race will be alot closer than what people think - Cindy Hyde smith is not anything special and the Dem in the race has run a good campaign -
there’s a reason Trump is campaigning in MS this close to the midterms
