We’d expect Yang to get a good deal of support from The Left; most Americans think providing a universal income is a socialist position (though it has conservative adherents as well), and Yang has taken progressive views on a host of other issues. But he may not speak the language of The Left: He’s frank in saying “I’m a capitalist,” and his campaign manager, Zach Graumann, says that the campaign doesn’t subscribe to the “capitalist/socialist dichotomy.”

Yang’s strongest constituencies might be Millennials and Hispanic and Asian voters. Yang has a strong following on Reddit and his fans have been producing hundreds of memes there and on Twitter, both platforms whose user base skews younger. And should he win, Yang would be the first Asian-American president.

“Conservatives” in open primary states really need to start getting behind this guy. With the likes of Beta raising millions of dollars, we need someone like Yangwho is the most common sense candidate from either party.

I’ll vote for Trump, Schultz, Tulsard and whoever the Libertarians and Contitution put out before him. But he’s a strong top 6 for me.

Yang is at least asking the right questions that no one else in politics has the balls to ask. Automation and AI is fricking huge and we will deal with them in the next 10-25 years. In the very least, I appreciate Yang bringing these questions into the political spotlight. I don’t think (at least now) his UBI propositions will pass, so I find him far less dangerous than his intersectional opponents.

In the very least he needs to be in the debates and ask his hack opponents the questions that he is bringing up. They just have vague bullshite and have no idea what they’re talking about, but at least Yang has some concrete ideas and is transparent on what is going on and what he wants to do. With the possible exception of Tulsi Gabbard, I can’t say that about any of his other cowardly and frankly stupid opponents.

Universalism is the purview of the Church, not the State. Unless you combine the two, the latter will wreck incredible destruction in its pursuit.

Not that you actually believe this, though. Your posts are a slightly clever combination of politicking and trolling. I don't know what your aims are, and that bothers me.

A Yang/Schultz card would be insane

You’re dead on. He actually has a lot of substance behind his proposals as compared to the entire rest of the field. Pandering about reparations, etc won’t fix our ACTUAL problems that are staring us in the face, but no one is willing to talk about. Trump included.

If the true replication of consciousness in a machine was possible, I would be genuinely worried. I won't say it is impossible, but we aren't nearly at the level of understanding of our own consciousness to properly design such a thing within a machine.

We will make some pretty fricking smart applications that support human endeavors, though. Their contribution will only add value to human labor, even in the simplest of functions.

The rest of them (excluding Gabbard and maybe Buttigieg) are full of shite and just beat around the bush of the actual issues. All their platform really consists of is “frick Trump”. At least these three have actual ideas outside of who is in the White House.

Yang is saying the inconvenient truth that you’re not going to get your jobs back and he’s also not being an a-hole saying to learn to code. He knows the general trajectory we’re heading, and it’s not pretty for anyone outside of the creative sphere. Everyone in government doesn’t have a clue what is going to hit this country in 20 years, and if they did/do, they’re too big of pussies to address it since you’re likely setting yourself up for failure. Why take responsibility when you can blame someone else? It’s why the legislature has delegated all the powers that should be theirs to a power hungry a-hole called the President (regardless of party).

Andrew Yang is bringing extremely important issues to the limelight that no one else will touch with a 20 foot pole hoping their constituency is stupid enough to think what he’s saying could only happen on the Jetsons. He should be defended for this.

The fricking AI within our lifetime will be more intelligent than all of humanity almost overnight before we can comprehend it. That is something to be extremely concerned about. If you aren’t, then you are ignorant or stupid.
