Cleo Fields single handedly stopped the Patriot missile program from being centered in Louisiana due to his corruption. Outright told them he needed to be paid in the meeting

The district got gerrymandered in such an absurd manner that it made it all the way to the Supreme Court. The Court will likely rule it to be illegal and set the precedent that districts can’t be drawn on the basis of assuring a racially based outcome. It’s patently illegal, undemocratic and unconstitutional. If for no other reason LA will make history in this case.

I like what has happened for whatever the reason. This is a huge moment in the making of America into the country our founders envisioned. With the people, for the people and by the people has a nice ring to it.

Top leadership in the country is from arguably the shitiest failure of a state in the union. Not surprising.

Exactly

And people around here were calling for Johnson’s head!

The political power we yield right now is unprecedented by this state

So what has Louisiana gotten with all of this influence? Federal funding for much needed bridges?

With all that clout, maybe we could get a couple of bridges paid for and built in Lake Charles and Baton Rouge.
