I live in Garrett Graves district. He’s a very good congressman and I am not sure he’s even opposed - but if he were it would be a total waste of time. He’s very popular and deservedly so.

As a result, I have paid no attention to HR races. And Trump needs to win back the House. (I believe the senate is safe, and Rs will actually gain seats there bc ACB is the baddest arse SCOTUS appointment in several generations, sealing the deal).

My take is that the Rs lost the house in 2018 bc their idiot RINO candidates ran against Trump.

Accordingly, I believe Trump’s presence on the ballot helps down ballot races and will ultimately help win back over the HR. Nancy Pelosi is the most despised person in DC - and her stupidity on the Coronavirus package will hurt the Ds.

What say you Baws? Especially those of you who live in districts contested races- so you’re probably paying more attention.

Verrrry slim chance Rs take back the House. They may pick up some seats but doubtful it will be enough.

This Bawette says we flip it back...the reason for the 2018 loss was Mueller followed by impeachment. The false narrative caused people to go Blue...it will go back Red.

Many of those new Blue Reps elected in 2018 to get things done failed...they followed Pelosi off a cliff.

I’ve read that R’s can take back the house if Trump has over 320 electoral votes. I personally have him winning 326-212.

I have heard Trump say twice that we will win the house. He’s not wrong often.

They'll gain seats. There are a few races that I'm going to keep an eye on because it looks like there are some really strong new Rs running against weak as shite Ds, albeit in heavily D areas. Klacik and Luna for example. If they can't flip those, there are some areas that are just lost for good.

Nancy Pelosi

The GOP won the House in 2010 largely by running anti-Pelosi campaigns. My district had a well liked blue dog democrat that we sent packing because he refused to go on record and promise not to vote Pelosi in as Speaker if the Dems kept the House. His loyalty to Nancy cost him his job.

Pelosi is their Achilles Heel and she should be exploited.

That's because of Minnesota.

And based off of your 326 number, you must have him winning the same states that he did four years ago, plus Nevada, Minnesota, and New Hampshire.

For me, I think R's will gain seats D's will keep the house.

I tried to go to RCP & other places to get an idea of these down ticket races to no avail of anything more or less than the crappy polls that have Biden winning like Hillary 90%.

I do know I had to hold my nose voting for a straight R down ticket including Thom Tillis.

If Trump wins a super majority I hope we get a good speaker and not McCarthy. McCarthy is team brown nose Trump but I don't trust him.

A little known and somewhat surprising fact is that Graves attended three different universities, University of Alabama, Louisiana Tech, and American University, but never graduated from any of them.

There are 31 districts that Trump won in 2016 that are currently held by Democrats. That's a great starting point.

Arizona: GOP Sen. Martha McSally is running against Democrat Mark Kelly, the popular and well-known former astronaut turned gun control advocate after the 2011 Tucson shooting of his wife, then-Rep. Gabby Giffords, D-Ariz. Kelly has led in all but one public poll in 2020. Kelly has also significantly outraised McSally.

Colorado: Republican Sen. Cory Gardner is running against former Gov. John Hickenlooper, a former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. Hickenlooper initially indicated he was not interested in a Senate run but jumped in after his presidential campaign faded. He has run a lackluster campaign, but the overall Democratic pull of the state is probably enough to carry Hickenlooper to victory.

Iowa: First-term GOP Sen. Joni Ernst is running against real estate developer Theresa Greenfield. This race has gotten increasingly competitive in the closing months of the campaign. Ernst had been the early favorite for reelection, but the race has become a toss-up in the close.

Maine: Republican Sen. Susan Collins is running against Democrat Sara Gideon, the state's House speaker. Few others have seen their political stock fall as fast as Collins has. Once one of the most popular senators in the U.S., she now ranks at the bottom. The polarization of the Trump era has done no favors for centrist moderates. Collins is a savvy campaigner and knows her state and how to win, but Gideon has been able to capitalize on Collins' sinking political clout and anti-Trump sentiment.

Montana: Republican Sen. Steve Daines is running against term-limited Democratic Gov. Steve Bullock, arguably the only Democrat who could make Montana competitive for the party. Bullock is well-known and has generally been given decent marks by voters for his handling of the coronavirus pandemic. Montana is a red state that wants to stay that way, and that helps Daines. A Bullock victory would be a telling sign of a broader Democratic wave.

North Carolina: Republican Sen. Thom Tillis is running against attorney Cal Cunningham, a former state senator. This is widely viewed as the tipping-point race — whoever wins here will likely represent the party in control of the Senate. Cunningham had all the advantages, but late-breaking reports of marital infidelity will test whether old-school political scandals still register with voters.
McCarthy has already claimed Speaker. I wonder if the HFC will still support him or put someone else in to challenge him?

In Oklahoma here.

We're doing our part to take away Kendra Horn's (D) House seat and get Stephanie Bice in there.

How we ever elected Horn is beyond me, but she has really pissed Okies off by voting in almost complete lock-step with Pelosi.

Generic polls here saying Horn is up by 1.2% but I'd be shocked if we don't install Bice. Pic of Bice because this board has rules:

No pic of Horn because you don't want to know.

No wonder Collins voted NO for ACB. She know no one wants a democrat!

Instead of listening to fables that all is magically good with seats to support Trump. Can we work on getting the GOPe out and primary them?

R's need to win 21 seats to get a definite majority.

Would put D's at 216 and R's at 218.

There's 1 "Libertarian".

Right now, Dems have 232, Reps have 197, and there are 5 vacant seats. So 21 (218) is the magic number.

that would be nice but I don’t see that happening with 23 red seats up for re-election and only 12 blue

I wish they would if for any other reason than Schiff and Nadler wouldn't be committee chairs and it shouldn't be endless impeachment bullshite.
