They can release it and just quote Schiff and Pelosi “this needs to be non partisan, transparent and fair”.

GOP can say “we are helping them keep their promise”

Correct, he did it because he was being falsely accused and he knew he could bury the dems with the fact his call was completely appropriate

let's say this was true... then by the same token, why won't he co-operate with any other investigation or request for documents? according to some, he's been falsely accused for a lot of things, but never has he provided tangible evidence to the contrary... he's just not gone along with testimony, ignored subpoenas or requests, told others not to comply, exerted executive privilege whenever possible, but now, in this ONE time, he actually puts out a memorandum/information.... i'm sure it just incidentally happened to be at the time of the impeachment thing...

well, let's be honest... if not for the impeachment talk/inquiry push, those documents would have NEVER seen the light of day, just like his tax returns, etc...

he didn't do that out of the goodness of his heart...

This is fricking idiotic.

There was no reason for them to see the light of day,
then why do it? there was no subpoena for them, and if he would have let them put it out, he could have the "jeopardizes national security" argument all to himself, as he wouldn't be the actual release of the information...

Everything?

The only thing you cited he has witheld is personal taxes. It deals with his private sector business and isnt required to be released. It doesn't have anything to do with being president.

Its almost like you forget the millions of dollars spent investigating him over 2 years.

Yall are just on a fishing expedition thats lasted longer than the mueller investigation.

The point remains, you actually think the dems scared him into releasing transcripts. You dont ha e a clue whats going on right now. Trump is taking them for a walk. An actual vote on impeachment would make his day!

Do you know what happens in actual impeachment hearings? It would put all the dems dirty laundry on full display. Its not like a court hearing, there are essentially no limits on who the defense can question as part of its case.

Why should it ever been released in the first place. Does the president have the right to discuss topics of his choice or not ? Does the president have to get a okay by another branch of government to decide which way to steer the country or is that done by the people in voting him in ? Be honest !

i'm praying it does... if they are guilty of some dirty shite too, let them burn... i hope this exposes ALL of the corrupt players, regardless of party... i don't belong to either one, so it really don't bother me one way or the other.... just makes it more clear for me going forward...

Maybe you should re-read. Etc doesnt count as citing anything. I addressed the only actual example provided.

well "the people" didn't vote him in... the electoral college did...

i slept in that day because both choices in that shitty arse election sucked, and i couldn't, in good conscience vote for either one of those shitbag candidates...

provided he's not breaking any laws, and to be clear, i'm not saying that he did or didn't in this case, yes, you'd be right...

umm, yeah.... because we're not an autocracy... i believe in checks and balances in our government and think it's a great thing...

Chris. I like you because you are a Pool fan. But you’re being obtuse with this.

Literally everything the Dems have ever said about Trump were lies.

He’s already turned over literally thousands upon thousands of documents. He’s been investigated more than any president ever. He’s been more transparent than probably any president has ever been all just for YOUR benefit. To prove to you his distractors are liars. He didn’t have to.

Don’t feed the swamp bro.

What obligation does any president have to release transcripts of his phone calls to other world leaders?

that's pretty debatable, you don't think? i just know if i had NOTHING to hide, i'd answer any question, under oath, at any point and any place... i wouldn't exert executive privilege at every chance, i wouldn't avoid giving my account of events to my investigator, etc....

quote:

To prove to you his distractors are liars.

yet, he hasn't.... there's been no proof of "lying" by him or them because there simply isn't enough co-operation by both sides... i do know that IF he is as clean as everyone here seems to think he is, he sure surrounds himself with a lot of shady, shitty people... and fwiw, no i don't think he colluded with Russia...

quote:

Don’t feed the swamp bro.

look, the "swamp" is filled to the brim with people from BOTH parties, and hiring a con man to "drain" it is as good as hiring a priest to run a day care center... sure, it may go the way you idealize, and then again, it could go really, REALLY wrong...

alas, my lad, at the end of the day YNWA

As I said don’t be obtuse. Every president has been investigated like Trump? Every one has had a Mueller up his arse?

Cmon bro. Don’t be that idiot that parrots the bullshite you hear on the TV. Trump has made avail more docs than any president ever. That’s not an opinion. It’s a fact.

And they don’t have shite to show for it.

Don’t be that guy

Can’t one of the GOP members just do a “parody” of the transcript of his testimony?

I’m actually going to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume there is no way you even truly believe the stuff you write.
