If the girl was 17 in a state where age of consent is 17, then it shouldn’t be considered statutory rape if she consented.

I thought this was over with. Is this not the same girl that had the state issued ID claiming she was of age? It was a ploy to entrap him. Plain and simple. What we should be investigating is what the circumstances were that led to this for the 17 year old girl? She was obviously put in position to do that, for that reason. She was trafficked, we need to know by whom, how, why, and how long?

Look, I don't care if Gaetz hires prostitutes and sniffs cocaine off of their starfish. Ideally, members of the US government wouldn't do stuff like that, but more do that than you would think. DC is apparently a really freaky town sometimes. He'll, there's a fund just for sexual harassment suits. Gaetz isn't perfect, but there are bigger fish to fry in DC.
