I get that, but it's also a tool for further pressuring Dems to cave on the shut-down.
That doesn't make sense in the House. The House passed a CR. The government is shut down due to Chuck Schumer and his Democrat coalition in the Senate.

It’s because the sole reason is to stop the Epstein files from being released. Even H1B hire Patel was very dodgy and evasive during his congressional testimony as to the Epstein files.
Who are they trying to protect?!?

Yeah this is all tied to the congress if attempting to keep the Epstein files under lock and key

also, when John Fetterman appears to be the most reasonable member of your party, might be time to clean house by force.
It’s sad when a guy with documented brain damage is the most reasonable member.

IDK what they are worried about. Even if they vote to release the Epstein files the CIA will just tell them, "no and frick you". And a few House members will cry on X and Mike Johnson will say "okay, we tired".

Should have had a number of undercover feds in that group that led them around the capitol on a guided tour and then thrown them in jail for a few years without visitation right.

This reeks of DEM desperation

Johnson isn’t swearing her in because she would be the last signature needed for the discharge petition to release the Epstein files.
If there was actually anything in the Epstein files why didn't the dems release when Biden was POTUS? Or just do what they normally do and release it illegally and don't care?
Why? Because there is nothing there.

Johnson isn’t swearing her in because she would be the last signature needed for the discharge petition to release the Epstein files. Again, we must ask ourselves why Johnson is protecting pedophiles who trafficked young women. It truly doesn’t make any sense.
She won a special election (in Sept. 2025, not the Nov 2024 election cycle) and the vote was certified (by AZ) after the House was in break.
She COULD be sworn in at a pro-forma session without friends and family, etc. at the ceremony. But since the day she won (before certification) they have made drama about this linking it to the Epstein files (Biden hid Trump's involvement right?) so Johnson basically has taken the position of if you want drama, I'll give you drama and had delayed he swearing in until, as is tradition, the House is in session.

If they'd done this on a whim, I'd give them more credit. But there's TV cameras present. All just fake, grandstanding bullshite.
This is all the cards the Dems have. How sad.

quote:Yes it's pretty much just a power play. He previously swore in two republicans in pro forma sessions. He's refusing to do it now because of partisanship. Example number 19,317 of how politics in our country is broken and farcical. Please note that I'm not pretending that the blame is only on one side. The whole thing sucks.

Wasn’t there a Democratic Whistleblower that said Nancy planned Jan 6 for over a year?

Tmcgin is a hit-and-run guy. Too much of a pussy to come back and defend his ridiculous statements.
It’s like R Lee Ermey said: he’s the kind of guy who’d frick another guy in the arse without giving him the courtesy of a gotdamned reacharound.

What’s the story behind this? Why is it taking so long to swear her in?
Don’t know. Looks like a couple posters have it figured out.
I can see Johnson just fricking with them.

How many things now is this administration and congress doing or not doing because of Epstein?
Everything is just a distraction from Epstein to some people. Trump attacked Iran to stop people talking about it, and now Johnson is not swearing in a democrat.
Next thing I know, I'm going to be told that Trump changed daylight savings to distract from Epstein.

Where is Michael Byrd when you need him? She looked more violent than Ashli Babbitt.

That’s my favorite to bring up at Christmas. The most reasonable guy literally went to therapy and came out on the other end, apparently less liberal. There’s no response to it and the subject quickly changes back to how stupid, old and fat Trump is
