Absolutely and they cannot be both.

I imagine running on “we’re not crazy luberals” will suffice.

Nationally, it is a fact that people who rely on government programs or are in poverty are more likely to vote democratic, while people with higher incomes are more likely to be republican.

That is so wrong. I know tons of white people that live off of the government. I volunteer at the food bank once a month.
You think that there is no way possible that a poor state like Oklahoma would be so red.
People are in so much denial that white republicans voters are on welfare and vote against their own best interests

Wait...are you actually claiming that Trump using his executive powers to remove Obama's executive overreach is....executive overreach?

Nope just pointing out the rate at which Trump is using EOs is far outpacing Obama's.

He's using EOs to undo EOs. You don't understand the difference between this and creating new policy via EO?

That's quite a few words to not even address the statement you were quoting.

Don’t underestimate what an anchor Clinton was on the Democrats. Removing the least likable person from the ballot will undoubtedly help Democrats look more appealing.

Second, Republicans better not run on repealing Obamacare because everyone knows that is a crock of shite.

I'm going to copy a response I had to another post in this vein, arguing about how much Trump has "turned around" the economy.

--------------------------------------------

quote:

2) The stock market is at an all-time high.

Historical S&P 500 Growth

Yes, as it's continued it's essentially linear growth rate that it had under Obama, when, *gasp*, it was also at an all time high. But he can take credit for that, that's fine.

quote:

3) Consumer confidence is at an all-time high.

Historical Consumer Confidence

It is not. The all time high was in early 2000, before the dot com bubble burst. It's high, too be sure, and growing. But guess what? It's on the same slope it was during Obama's presidency, which is to say, climbing steadily since it bottomed out in 2009.

But again, you're crediting Trump with essentially maintaining a growth rate.

quote:

4) He created more than a million jobs by undoing Obama’s regulations.

Job Growth

Jobs created YTD, 2017: 1.41 MM
Jobs created YTD, 2016: 1.55 MM

?? Looks like he's done objectively worse so far, compared to last year.

quote:

5) Mortgage applications for new homes is at a 7 year high.

Mortgage Applications for New Homes

...once more following the linear trend they were on before Trump was even running, let alone in office.

quote:

6) Unemployment rate is at a 16 year low.

Historical Unemployment Rate

...following the same linear downward trend it's been on since the recovery from the recession started. Once more, of course Trump is presiding over the "best" period in the last 16 years. Basically every month has been the best since 2010.

Lowest unemployment in 17 years and the highest stock market in history. And by that time, the GDP may be growing over 4% per quarter.

They're going to run on not screwing up the Obama boom?

Trump's at 3% as well. The GDP has been growing at the same rate pretty much every quarter since the recession. Hasn't consistently grown over 3% since the 80's and 90's.

Whatever the Dems aren't. I bet 2018 is going to be demoralizing for the Democrats. Democrats literally did nothing last night, but the media wants to say they're making a comeback. Geez.
