I'm happy about the tax break I'm getting.

However, with these tax reforms and negative attitude towards unions , do republicans want to undo the reforms in place for worker protections.

The gilded age was actually a very good economic time in America, relatively speaking

Between 1880 and 1932, there was a very large increase in living standards

Yeah. That's actually their master plan. Well, other than to create a master race of nothing but white men with white nationalist haircuts and treat all other races like cattle. So that's their 2nd master plan. Have to change it now that you've figured it out, though. Make it less obvious.

WTF does one of these things have to do with the other?

If anything the freaking Tax Cut actually GAVE Union Workers with good paying jobs a tax break.

Unions came about in a regulatory vacuum. Their goal was to improve the safety, pay and working conditions of workers.

We now have dozens of labor and safety agencies with piles of regulations to protect workers.

The union mission was accomplished a long time ago. They are now unnecessary and redundant and need to go away.

Yes, Republicans want to go back to unsafe work conditions, employees dependent on company stores, and repeal all child labor laws.

Unions have their place and function. Too often, however, they become ridiculous.

holy shite. we agree. upvoted.

I am not a fan of unions in the slightest, but my experience is limited primarily to the ILA. They definitely served a purpose at one time in history, but I think that time has come and gone. I dont understand the correlation the OP is trying to make though.
