Pretty standard Par for the course story from every person I know that has taught or volunteered at a failing inner city school.
I know two people who did teach for America. The woman was called a “dumb bitch who could easily go missing” by a kid she failed and the guy was jumped walking to his car. Both told their principals, both were told to just let it go and maybe give those kids a pass, nothing happened to either kid.

The really sad part about these schools is you have a decent amount of kids who do want to learn, but the bad apples prevent that from happening. Expulsion is rarely an option at public schools, so there is no way to get rid of the disruptions. If the kid can't get kicked out the parents don't care what happens at school. The older the kids get, the more they realize that it's not the "cool" thing amongst their peers to be respectful or complete assignments. So we have students who would thrive, but make the choice not to to fit in.

Literally no one here has said that

That sounds like my experience at West Jefferson High School

What we need is for a teacher to document ON FILM, the goings on behind closed doors at these schools and turn the raw footage over to a documentary film maker.
I think America would be shocked to its core if they saw not only the actions of the kids, but the indifference and graft of the School Administrators.

It is nothing more than law of the jungle. The biggest, strongest, fastest, survive and advance. The weak are destroyed, robbed, raped, murdered.

I have very bad news for all of you:
The current path that the Left has placed the USA will make THAT man's worst classroom the most powerful voices in Washington DC, voices that will influence FedGov law and policy that will rule over us.

You could just follow a few of these kids on Instagram and tiktok they happily post these videos.

I don't think the majority of America would see it. Hollywood would never allow it to get a wide release and the Propaganda machine would Rev up against it.
It would be protested at racist ensuring the left doesn't watch it and the controversies and vitriol around it would drive away the moderate right

Or just go on live leak or worldstar.
I have a very good friend who went to college to become a teacher and his observations were at an inner city school in Birmingham. He still wanted to be a teacher after, but in college, not hs. He was shocked and horrified, said there were only 2 kids in the class that were passing and that the classroom was basically optional. Kids would get up, walk out whenever, do whatever in class etc. The teacher told him he just had to accept it, and to try to focus on the few that actually cared. This was almost 20 years ago now, can't believe it's gotten any better.

Confidentiality makes it impossible to take footage without major legal implications for the teacher and the school.

Well typically these schools love to promote placing students in elite institutions.
If you have an LSU-level student? yeah that makes sense to push Grambling. It just doesn't fit in with their PR priorities.
Students from bad schools making elite universities is a big deal for them.

Well there may be an underlying positive that comes with the COVID shutdown and shifting to an online education system. You may actually start seeing cameras via Skype/Zoom technology in classrooms to showcase what the teacher and students are doing. That alone may be a saving grace to education if it continues to be allowed.

I have family members that teach in inner city schools - while their experiences weren't quite as bad, it's not far off.
