You a a desperate failure of a human you lack personal accountability and need the nanny state to help you make hard decisions.
The reality is the SC decided to sit on the sidelines during the election fall out on the excuse of Standing, I hope they follow suit in this endeavor.
Of they say yes then they open up a can of worms if the say no the the lefties will be out in full force. This country is being bullied by a bunch of losers w/ time and no hope being backed by Soros and othe Soros types.

It's "writ of certiorari" so in this context SCOTUS is ordering the lower court to send the case up to them for review, as I understand it.

No they don't. There is a criminal prosecution in the federal system. They have standing to rule on legal issues related to that prosecution. There is no "can of worms" due to following basic procedure.

If USSC is ultimately going to rule against Trump, and we also assume Trump wins in 2024 for this hypothetical, you'd prefer him to be prosecuted while President? Potentially jailed while President?
Again, MAGA has been praying since these all began to get these cases in front of the USSC. I would imagine having that occur sooner rather than later would be celebrated.

I agree with you up until the 2020 election, when Trump started making mistakes that 2016 (and prior) Trump would have never done.
Other than the weird NY prosecution, the others are all prosecutions for behaviors AFTER the 2020 election. This version of Trump isn't the guy who dodged multiple state intel agencies trying to entrap him in 2016. This version of Trump listens to goombas who do stuff like this:
