I'm interested in general impact of ground warfare than being for or against Israelis or their PMCs getting killed there. We've only seen it in Russia/Ukraine theater with flat terrain but now we're now getting another theater with a rocky terrain and it's proving a problem for conventional military forces too. Armor is no longer safe even against an inferior enemy, grouping and massive attacks are becoming harder to pull off. You have to find a way to protect all of your expensive AD assets from a nuisance small drone attacks along with other valuable assets. It's a unique problem.

The problem I see in your argument -
Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, and I assume we agree on that?
So where are the Lebanese fighting the Hezbollah occupation? Outside of words, there isn't much and there hasn't been since Hezbollah's founding. Hezbollah is, after all, a Lebanese organization.
In that view, the Lebanese population does not quite meet the "innocent civilians" definition. A people has an obligation to fight terrorists within its own borders.
I'm not suggesting civilians be targeted, but I think the days of refusing to address the Hezbollah problem because of collateral damage are over.

I think it's a proxy Israelis created ala SPLC. I have the same feel about Hamas. It's a self fueling radical/insurgent cycle.
So depending on who joints this proxy, if it is local Lebanese and Gaza insurgents, it doesn't make them "terrorists". Not getting along with Jews in the ME doesn't equate one to a "terrorist". That's neocon/zionist talking point that I don't care for.
