The silence from the usual cast of characters in Congress is really telling. Glad the Florida GOP is being vocal about supporting the Cuban people.

I wouldn’t necessarily say the Europeans “kicked arse” and took the land. It was more of a 1st world country, going to a 3rd world and damned near had the natives exterminated to set up shop.
It’s like a bunch of 12th graders going to a playground for 3rd graders, running them off and claiming it.

If you're not developed enough or strong enough to keep your land you'll lose it to another tribe. This is the way it's always been.
