We have a system in this country that doesn’t screen for the people who are likely to do this sort of thing, and that makes society as a whole culpable every single time one of these shootings happens.
The shooter in this case was 17 yrs old and not legally able to purchase a gun. So what law or screening procedure would have stopped this shooting.....

Have you commented on the happenings at Dixon High School earlier this week?
Or are you just like the national media?

Do you even know what the gun laws are in those countries? That's a terrible argument IMO
Despite that issue, those guns don't kill people. Neither do video games.

Well that would be impossible considering almost no one over there can own a gun gun

Did you call for gun control after that incident?

quote:Well yeah, there was that one time
I think it’s Japan that had a guy stab a bunch of students in school.
But if my argument that video games are more responsible for mass shootings than guns are and my reference is "that one time in Japan that guy with a knife", then well, I'd probably stop there.
I'm not even saying that guns are responsible here. All I am saying is that video games are no more responsible than guns are

Interesting timing, nice distraction from the real news.
Fortunately, school is done for the summer for most of the country starting next week, the Dems are going to have to find someone else to massacre besides school children.

But if video games had that much of an influence, I would argue that people in these countries would find another way to act out their violence. They don't.

Another week, another school shooting, and the usual subjects in here pretending that their guns keep them safe.
I have said it before, and I'll say it again. Not one thing will change and in another month, maybe less, we will all be offering up, yet more thoughts and prayers for the parents of the dead kids.
All you yahoos scream bloody murder about muslim terrorism in this country...and yet...we lose more people to Americans then any foreign murderers....and the beat goes on.

So the same scenario as Parkland? Weren’t they escorted out prior to the shooting for a drill?
The hospital guy just interviewed said they were training for a mass shooting scenario this morning, just before the "real" shooting happened.
Nothing odd about that.

Why are they focusing on “Greek home”
Posted on 5/18/18 at 12:55 pm to Yak
Well the theory is that they place a strong emphasis on “preserving honor,” “avoiding shame,” and generally being honest— as how they keep murder rates low. So there are outlying factors that keep it in check.

You can go to Hell. I and other law abiding citizens are not the ones killing those kids. We need to find out what is driving those children to commit those acts and morons that think like you do need to stop using these acts to further your anti Constitutional agenda.

And there are many factors like you said, homogeneity being another.
My point remains the same though. Video games kill just as many as guns do. Which would be 0.

To your point, take away guns and you still have homicidal students walking the halls. Gun control advocates only care about one side of the problem.
