Too bad, so sad.

Firms like BlackRock were simply doing what their customers wanted them to. A large portion of which are public pension funds like teachers pension funds
You think the firm run by the guy who is in charge of the WEF was just doing what the teachers pension fund of Peoria told him to do?
I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

The Boomers are the most selfish generation and I’m proud of it!!!

Yes. The evidence is irrefutable. The largest pension funds in the country are public teacher’s retirement accounts. What do you think the priorities of of the average public school teacher in California or New York are? The invest their money in companies that reflect their values. More accurately they tell firms like BlackRock and Vanguard to invest in companies that reflect their values. So BlackRock tells Cracker Barrel and Tractor supply to adopt uber liberal policies or not get invested in. Voila, pride flags on display when you just want a hash brown casserole after church on Sunday.

Helen Andrews: Boomer men reaped moral rewards of DEI while inflicting costs on young

BS! Affirmative action, original DEI, Was around since the 70s.The boomers paid for it 1st.
It (AA) covered everyone but white males...including white females.
So true. When my brother was trying to get a job in media in the 1980s he seriously thought about putting his credentials on a resume with the name of a black female on it to see how long it would take to get hired.
Companies were trying to present a front of The Mod Squad long before the 2010's.

So Progressives and Liberals are now trying to deflect from the policies they championed to blame “old white men”?
That appears to be the case. The reality is that the left was the instrument that threaded AA and DEI through the last 50 to 60 years of government, corporate and media policy.
We need to have a full meritocracy without the commie social crap.

Not how it worked.
I should have clarified that it was supposed to work like that and that is how it was sold to the public.
Stupid white people.

Blackrock manages $15 trillion in assets.
No one tells them what to do.
They invest and drive corporate policy or the corporation gets new management.
The idea that some pension fund dictates anything to them is legitimately hilarious.

Blackrock itself was infected with the same wokeness that affected so many other funds, companies and policies for much the same reasons.
The difference is that unlike pure politics and political bureaucracies, the shite gets real when the crap they back in stock market policies fails.

Could be DEI?
That suggests they weren't quite ready.
Lol they fricking weren't when your timeline suggests either
