quote:
Video of the family’s arrival in Paris shows them walking down a long red carpet and past a welcoming delegation of French officials, after descending from the U.S. military jet that flew them.
“I’ve never, ever seen anything like that with a whole family going,” said one former official with the Army’s Criminal Investigative Division, or CID, the agency responsible for securing the defense secretary’s movements at home and abroad. Like others interviewed for this report, this person spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal.

This guy would have taken his family but he was too busy executing Order 66.

What a miserable fool. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this.

sigh... I just spun the 'pick a President' wheel...
quote:
President Jimmy Carter took his family (including his wife Rosalynn) to Normandy, France, on an official state visit on January 5, 1978. Accompanied by French President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing, he laid a wreath at the Omaha Beach memorial and paid tribute to fallen Allied soldiers at the American Cemetery

So if left the kids or wife and kids then ole Pete would be abandoning his family for a drunken weekend away is what that narrative would be from that rag

(Note to self)... I can't wait until WaPo goes the way of the DoDo ... kind of looks like I imagine many of their standard, liberal female employees w/out makeup and hijab dress... got that Omar style going for it.

Let's hope they do a better job of protecting him than the secret service does for Trump

I have done some truly disgusting stuff in my crazy days that I’ve been able to put behind me, but doing that at that level of awareness would haunt me for the duration. That is a haunting picture of pure Nazi level insanity and a represents an existential danger to honest governance.

I wouldn’t expect the WAPO to value a good father. Especially one who takes his kids to Normandy to visit and commemorate the day and what it means.

I take offense that you’d compare me to this idiot.

I’d bet anything this un-named source doesn’t exist. This propagandist with the Washington Compost simply made it up.

Example number 3,497,256 for why the media should be ignored.

They obviously did not ride along on any of Michelle's big adventures like her African Safari that her entire family went on... that was just one of many.

I would wager that John Hudson with the Washington Post is a 20 something soyboy and has no understanding of D Day, But I suppose to his defense , as with others of his or her generation, they were not taught this growing up in elementary and HS - and that is the root issue. We have these folks now broadcasting crap they are unable to understand with only a political tilt.
