this person spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of reprisal.
If this person is a “former official”, why would they fear reprisal?
Just solidifies that the whole story is made up.

Residents of French village say US defense chief Hegseth not welcome for D-Day visit
And they even provide a helpful [/s] link to some woke Purdue ninny's thesis about what ''dehumanizing' allegedly means.

In his earlier speech at the American military cemetery, Hegseth utilised dehumanising anti-immigrant rhetoric, urging Europe to counter what he termed an "invasion" of its coastline by migrants.

Who could possibly take issue with someone taking their family to Normandy near the anniversary of D-Day? Honoring the sacrifices of those lost in battle to free others from oppression...surely there is something better the press could spend their time and energy on addressing.

I’d bet anything this un-named source doesn’t exist. This propagandist with the Washington Compost simply made it up.
Probably does, actually. If you were going to make up someone to buttress you're bullshite hit piece, you'd come up with something better than a former Army CID "official"

JFC... that photo. WTF...
It makes sense when you realize that we are watching a movie and they were trying to play on the Star Wars imagery of the Empire during Biden's term.
