That you are naive if you think this isn't a setup to bipartisan impeachment hearings in a few months Meghan McMassie wants drumpf as much as Hegseth. It's why Dems are praising him.
Massie's goal is to run for President in 2028 as an independent, America First campaign. I'm guessing he thinks keeping Trump as president HELPS him in that regard. Massie (rightfully or wrongfully) thinks by 2027 voters will see that Trump's Iran War was a disaster...which will boost Massie's appeal among the America First voters.
The last thing Massie wants from a political perspective is JD Vance taking the place of a impeached/removed Trump. Vance might actually end Trump's War on terms favorable to the US...which would take the oxygen out of Massie's 2028 campaign.
So, I think Massie, the Dems, and probably many Republicans (at least privately) hate Hegseth enough to be satisfied with an impeachment of Hegseth (with ZERO chance of removal).
Of course, if the Dems win the House, there won't be any need for bipartisanship. It will be non-stop impeachment proceedings starting with President Trump.

Why didn't you tell me sooner?
I know Jbird is a smart person. I respect his military and aviation background. I kept wondering what I was missing in his reasoning.
After inspection, it appears that Jbird just suffers from MDS like many others.

I think he is doing Drumpf on down.

Right. I have made that observation repeatedly. What's the relevance of that to whatever point you are trying to make?

See above.
Nothing about the War Powers issues needs to be fleshed out. The allegation against President Trump would be that he violated the War Powers Resolution by
- launching a military attack absent an imminent threat, and
-not getting Congressional authorization after 60 days
Hearings wouldn't be necessary to establish the facts and the law. So, why waste ammo against Hegseth on an issue that's pretty clearly NOT an impeachable act as to Hegseth?
I think you're reading too much into this. Massie hates Hegseth. He didn't need any encouragement from Dems to seek Hegseth's impeachment.
Massie didn't tell Johnson because he knew that Johnson would bitch out again and waste valuable days of a Republican majority House out of fear of Massie. Turns out Massie was right. There wasn't some secret conspiracy with the Dems.

Great for you to keep in mind as you are obsessed.
Just can’t help yourself.
I’m just not into you. Muumuu wearing drunks just aren’t my thing. Sorry.

I think you are giving Meghan way too much credit, Drumpf shite on him and he doesn't GAF.
At the end of the day if they suggest Hegseth issued and illegal order I guarantee you they are gunning for the order having come directly from the Commander in Chief.

Could be. I just don't think President Trump is THAT involved with decision making regarding military operations.
When Trump was first asked by a reporter "May we see the rest of the videos from that attack...the one where the survivors were killed?" Trump replied, "Sure, why not?"
Later, after the Pentagon refused to make them available, President Trump just said "I leave that up to Pete." I genuinely don't think Trump even knew the order had been given to kill survivors when asked about it the first time.

I would believe that what Mass is doing now is in part, large or small, of what he will be doing after Congress.

Right, with war crimes and unlawful killings allegedly mixed in. The killing of the boat survivors would be a close call if it ever got tried.

This is going nowhere. Massie is just lashing out.
He's playing the long game.
The longer neocons are in power, the more they will be disliked and voted against. He is establishing himself as being one of the few who actively went against it, and was attacked for it.
People treated Ron Paul the same way. Only Massie isn't quite as old and has a few more years on the tank.
Or he may just being doing as much as he can before leaving office.
Either way, we need more in congress like him, not less.
