How old was he during this incident?

EDIT: Thought the charge was dropped pretrial, misread a headline.

We'll see how the jury rules, and if they say guilty then he's guilty. My point with Arbery was the poster commenting about stand your ground law needed to take into account other laws as well. Arbery couldn't legally carry a gun, not because he was a minor, but because he was a thug POS.

If he was white, wearing a Trump hat, a lot of people on this board would see this differently.

Fact.

Yes, he would have been hunted.

There are exceptions for long rifles in the books.

I'm looking at them. I don't see which applies. He wasn't hunting or engaged in target practice.

They've thrown the book at Kyle, you'll notice no weapon possession charges.

It's a misdemeanor, so it's kind of irrelevant in the big picture.

And if Kyle were black at a MAGA riot... err rally, he wouldn't be on trial today.

Blame the media you watch for dividing the country.

Somewhat irrelevant in the larger picture.

You're just creating your own ideological exception because it hurts your arguments in opposition to each other.

This is why ideological clarity is so important, especially in today's world of hypocrisy. You're displaying in real time the dangers of that sort of thinking.

No I'm responding to a specific comment suggesting Arbery should have been armed and you, for some reason, can't follow the line of conversation.

"This section applies only to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a rifle or a shotgun if the person is in violation of s. 941.28 or is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593. This section applies only to an adult who transfers a firearm to a person under 18 years of age if the person under 18 years of age is not in compliance with ss. 29.304 and 29.593 or to an adult who is in violation of s. 941.28."

Is the part of the law I was referring to that likely gave Kyle a legal means for carrying the rifle.

If he was white, wearing a Trump hat he wouldn't have been stealing from construction sites.

A guy that works for me goes out of town often for work and has had his house broken into 4 times in the past two months. The cops seem disinterested in dealing with it.

He has since bought a security system and has the footage. Police still DGAF.

So you're the guy on the subway video recording a woman getting raped instead of stopping it. Interesting.

They seem disinterested because they are disinterested. The crooks are likely from another jurisdiction. The DAs couldn’t care less about prosecuting theft of a car, let alone some random thefts from a house.

We’re slowly drifting into a lawless society.

I understand the affinity for taking control of justice. But this wasn’t well executed at all.

None of this matters.

They chased down and executed this dude. I feel absolutely no sympathy for the killers.

I do believe in taking care of business, but how stupid can you be to chase a guy down at gunpoint if he hasn't harmed anyone?

You pick your battles, these people aren't patriots, they're gomers who aren't smart enough.

Those laws are for hunting or target shooting. The DA had him testify he wasn't doing target shooting. I know we all understand that if he argues he's hunting he'll have bigger issues than a misdemeanors

Wrong. This is the type of action taken 50 years ago....when bad people feared not only the law, but folks who wouldn't turn a blind eye to their crimes!
Strange, but there weren't nearly as many incidents back then.
