Have you noticed many of the DSA candidates are now centrist Christians?

It seems to be a thing this election cycle. Package the DSA candidate up as a centrist Christian as a means to dupe low info and low IQ voters.
Will it work? I wouldn't be surprised.
This ^^^^^ DSA candidate for US Senate, who is also a Methodist pastor supports gay marriage, BLM, gay/lesbian pastors, etc.
There isn't a reasonable and honest person who would argue against the fact if any of the DSA centrist Christians are elected to the US Congress......they will all fall in line to advance the Red/Green Alliance agenda, because if they don't they will not stand a chance of be reelected to Congress.

It will work.
It has always worked.
It is very difficult to have a well informed and intelligent electorate.

So you endorse the premise that all non-Republicans are Socialists? Interesting admission on your part.

So OP, do you think that loving God and hating people is compatible?

Or better. Talk shite about millions of people. Wish all kinds of ills on them. Then claim to be Christian.
.
Then make Trump the paragon of idol worship.

You certainly can't be a true follower of Christ and walking in the Light if you support abortion, gay marriage, BLM scam, gay/lesbian pastors, etc.
Jesus Christ instructs His followers to repent and sanctify themselves and turn from sin. Christ did not say to pick and choose which sin you can't live without and normalize that sin among the masses.

Tomorrow is "Souls To The Polls Day".......millions of black Americans will be urged and guilted by their pastor into voting for a DSA candidate.

Where in the Bible does it say that? That's an interpretation, yes. But understand there are gay people active in church. Likely trans too. I feel we put way too much attention on trans issues and abortion.
They are issues but shouldn't be a parties identity.
I dint know why the left pushes Trans rights and y'all push Abortion laws.

Sure, let's use the OP's example. It's clear he disagrees with gay marriage and allowing for gay pastors. It's not a big leap to assume that he doesn't care for gay people in general. Is that Christlike to you?

The Creator hates sin. Pastors who knowingly mislead their parishioners with their liberal and non biblical interpretations of scripture......well,
quote:
but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.

As a white American male, the amount of shite talked about me is unparalleled. And not just about my opinions but about me because of my immutable characteristics.
Dems are hate mongers par excellence.

Adam Hamilton has FOUR homes. his home in Stilwell by itself is a multi-million dollar home, and his home at Lake of the Ozarks is probably worth close to a million if not more. then he owns two other homes that his daughters live in. he makes $800,000 plus a year just from his church & media company, not including any other sources of income. Hamilton is a FRAUD.

"The US Senate race in Kansas is taking a nasty turn after incumbent Republican Roger Marshall’s campaign released a new ad accusing Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton of failing to report a pedophile who once worked at Hamilton’s church to law enforcement.
"Hamilton, who has served as lead pastor at Church of the Resurrection in Leawood for more than three decades, caught flak from a Democratic primary opponent for allowing the employment of Scott Moore, a church volunteer accused of molesting teenage boys at two retreats in 2005 and 2006.
"The Marshall ad, part of a $1.2 million buy that will run statewide on broadcast, cable and streaming services beginning this weekend, says Hamilton let the “child predator” return as a camp counselor in 2006 after allegations by two of his victims were ignored."
quote:
Regarding the story of the adult male pedophile at the Church of the Resurrection (COR) youth camp preying on boys.
This is NOT a fabrication, but a matter of public and legal record.
The woman who served as Adam Hamilton's executive assistant at COR for many years, gave an interview in which she expressed her shock and dismay as to how the incident was handled. Law enforcement was not initially notified, Hamilton selected 2 COR people to investigate the matter who had no experience/training in such matters, and affiliated church leaders spoke to the campers discouraging them from reporting similar incidents. The executive assistant stated that she was astounded when the accused man was allowed to subsequently return to the camp.
• The Incidents: The allegations date back to 2005 and 2006 during youth camp retreats hosted by the Church of the Resurrection (a United Methodist megachurch based in Leawood, Kansas). Teenage boys reported that a male volunteer entered their rooms at night and touched them inappropriately inside their sleeping bags.
• The Perpetrator: The volunteer was later identified as Scott Preston Moore, a serial child predator. Moore was barred from the church in 2006, was later convicted of sexual battery in an unrelated 2010 case, and died in 2015.
From the politically-liberal Kansas Reflector article: "At nation’s largest Methodist church, ex-employees split on Kansas pastor running for U.S. Senate"
Sue Thompson started work at Resurrection in 1996, beginning part-time until she eventually was coordinating Hamilton’s professional and personal calendars as his assistant, working 50 and 60-hour weeks.
Hamilton defended the investigators, but he said he “absolutely” would have handled the 2005 incident differently by going directly to law enforcement.
Lee Jost served as director of student ministries at the church from 2001 to 2005 and, according to court transcripts, gave a sermon at the youth camp in 2005 discouraging the boys, without naming them, from discussing their concerns about someone entering their rooms and touching them.
Still, she (Thompson) said, “I was horrified the next year when they let him go back to camp.”
There are many comments below, claiming that the COR youth camp pedophile story is a fabrication against Adam Hamilton. That is FALSE.

WHY DID ADAM HAMILTON PURCHASE A LAKE OF THE OZARKS WATERFRONT VACATION HOME YEARS AGO, WHEN HE RESIDES IN STILWELL KANSAS?
He says that he writes books, and it's a place to get away. Really? Get away from whom?
Hamilton (age 62) and his wife live in a large executive home on acreage in Stilwell KS. His adult daughters are in their mid-to-late 30's, residing in Lawrence and KCMO.
I'M JUST ASKING QUESTIONS HERE, BECAUSE I'M SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH. HAMILTON IS A VERY GOOD SALESMAN/MARKETING AGENT AND THAT IS HOW HE GREW HIS CONGREGATION SO LARGE. BUT IS HE AN HONEST PERSON OR SOMEONE WHO LIKES TO CREATE IMAGINATIVE NARRATIVES?
When asked about his early faith journey, Hamilton says he was a teenage sinner (alcohol/drugs), got in trouble with his friends, stayed up all night, but went to a Pentecostal church after a random encounter with a door-to-door evangelist who used a synthetic voice-box (Darth Vader voice). Really? You and your friends made fun of the man, but you accepted his invitation?
Sometimes when telling this story, Hamilton says there were girls at this church and "I like girls." This is an example of someone subconsciously confessing something about themselves that they've kept hidden. Why would he tell interviewers that "I like girls"? Isn't it because he's proactively attempting to deflect speculation on his sexual orientation?
He also has a story about an older single man who lived across the street, when he was a teenager. Hamilton described him as having effeminate mannerisms, and again reports that he and his friends made fun of the man. "Merle the squirrel" was the rejoinder.
Ok, so he graduates from high school, and goes off to Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa Oklahoma. For anyone who doesn't know, this university was founded by its namesake Oral Roberts, a pioneering Charismatic Christian televangelist. He became notorious over the years for so-called faith healing, visions, speaking directly to God, constant fundraising which afforded him a luxurious lifestyle (Beverly Hills, Italian silk suits, personal aircraft, financial fortune). In 1983 Roberts said Jesus had appeared to him in person and commissioned him to find a cure for cancer. Hamilton graduated from ORU in 1985.
Hamilton has mentioned that 2 of his best friends died around the time he graduated from college, but I've never heard him explain the circumstances of their deaths. According to its official Position Paper on Human Sexuality, Oral Roberts University teaches that sexual intercourse is strictly limited to traditional heterosexual marriage, defining homosexual practices and same-sex marriage as violations of Scripture. Was this a case of being unable to "pray away the gay"?
Recalling that Hamilton was born in 1964, it was still a time when the vast majority of homosexuals lived closeted lives and attempted to conform to societal norms, including marriage and children. The Church was one of the few occupational roles where homosexual men could effectively hide out in the open, as society largely gave them a pass as necessary religious scholars/leaders.
At this time, Hamilton seems to distance himself from ORU, and works toward a Master's degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
According to MO Casenet files, Adam J. Hamilton of Stilwell KS (DOB 1964) was stopped by the MO Highway Patrol in June 2016 for speeding in Benton County (Lake of the Ozarks).
On July 8 2021, Adam J. Hamilton of Stilwell KS (DOB 1964) was stopped by Henry County-Clinton law enforcement for exceeding the posted speed limit by 20-25 mph. (again likely a Lake of the Ozarks trip).
Now, a speeding ticket is not unusual, but why would an officer make a notation on a traffic citation that a minor boy was in the vehicle he stopped?
Adam Hamilton has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ inclusion within the United Methodist Church. Even to the extent that he was willing to destroy the church if leadership refused his demands. Hamilton supports full inclusion and welcoming of homosexual individuals in the church, with same-sex marriages performed and the ordination of LGBTQ+ clergy.
When a church welcomes all peaceful attendees to gather and worship, under what circumstance would a person's sexual orientation even arise? Nine years ago, at the Aspen Ideas Festival, Adam Hamilton told the audience "that we (Church of the Resurrection) have 800 gay and lesbian members in our congregation."
I find this shocking for a couple of reasons. How would he know the sexual orientation of his congregation members? He's obviously keeping track! Hamilton, the skilled salesman/marketer is purposely targeting the LGBT community to continue growing his church. Obviously, when you employ tactics like this, you're constantly modifying core beliefs (Bible) in order to appeal to a wider, more diverse audience. In the end, you believe in NOTHING, and allow EVERYTHING.

I don't like any person who claims to be a Christian knowingly telling others what the Bible calls sin is no longer applicable, particularly those Christians who pastor a church.

There’s nothing in the Bible that supports ongoing gay relationships or pastors, and by your own words you are assuming the OP following the Bible’s words somehow equates to him being personally against gay people. Again, being against something doesn’t equate to not loving. You can tell someone to not shoot heroine because you indeed love them and want what’s best. I’m sure you understand the point.
