Well, under the liberal definition of white supremacy, loving your country or saluting the flag is all it takes !

It's pathetic that you see a white supremacist behind every bush and around every corner.

It should be clear to everyone that this NOT about vindication of past customs or centuries ago social mores of any sort. This is about vengeance.

In today's world they recruit people with problems, lost kids without guidence. And just brain wash them and portray all their problems on blacks, Hispanics, jews, etc..

There was one we watched for many years in US Senate. Robert Byrd was the grand wizard of the KKK. He was a democrat and the dems loved him.

Do you think there are more white supremacists than black supremacists? Plenty of these black groups don't think black men should procreate with cracker whores and instead should be killing their babies. They also want land given to them so they can rule themselves and stay segregated.

One thing I know about traveling around this country and the world is humans are tribal. They don't like people different than them.

We even have that on this board, on the rant, the sec rant. A lot of us have a shite load in common but have prejudice based on their college football team.

I’ve wondered how the Nazis could do what they did. But I see BLM and Democrats following in their footsteps, just substitute white conservatives for Jews.

I actually had a discussion with a Jewish coworker and they brought up how the left are acting like brown shirts.

You evidently are not a historian. Go back and study what was happening in the South after the War of Southern Independence and you might get a clue.

in reality the kkk started out as confederate soldiers who refused to surrender after the war and continued gorilla warfare.

Then it was hijacked as a race organization and they let it happen

That last part is what you are seeing

I don’t think we need to be comparing everything to the KKK because the KKK is a non-existant organization. It’s a boogey man story told to white people to suppress them. The only hate group with political power in this country that is real is BLM and this organization suppresses not only whites but any black persons that doesn’t go along with their false hate narrative.

The more fascinating aspect is how the KKK eventually switched to the Republican Party. Of course, everyone is familiar with Fred Trump being arrested at a KKK rally way back in the day, but he was a well known Republican. When did the KKK find that they had more in common with Conservatives? Very strange!

Even though Our President idolized his father, I don’t think that shaped MAGA. But I have to admit, it’s a little suspicious that Trump’s idol was arrested at a KKK rally.

Then again who gives a frick? MAGA 2020!

He was never a grand wizard.

You know who was a grand wizard? David Duke. He has been and is also still a current member of the Republican Party.

Tell me how this does not apply to BLM???

por favor

eta - after reading the thread it seems we both have the same idea - comparing the KKK to BLM.

if so - my apology for jumping to conclusions

Groups like the KKK and Knights of the White Camelia were originally formed to deal with carpetbaggers, as well as the blacks who were put into office by the carpetbaggers to pass laws favorable to their goals of raping the South and stealing Southerners' property.

Nathan Bedford Forrest was cool - David Duke, not so much.

The KKK started because in much of the Reconstruction era South, confederate veterans and those who had served in the confederate era state and local governments had their voting rights revoked. Since damn near everyone was drafted to fight in the war, and women couldn’t vote, that meant the overwhelming majority of the population had no voting rights. The only people who could vote were a few people too old to fight who didn’t serve in the government, those who had been too young to fight but came of age during reconstruction, freed slaves, and carpetbaggers from the north whom the freed slaves elected to positions of power. The Klan started because a huge percentage of the population was disenfranchised. They saw terrorism as their only recourse. Once their grievances were alleviated at the end of reconstruction, when their voting rights were restored, rather than stop, they redoubled their efforts and instituted a reign of terror that would become Jim Crow.

So, if you’re looking for modern parallels:
1. Legit grievances sparks disenfranchised people to commit violence to regain their rights

2. Concessions are made to placate them.

3. Once their rights are restored, they’re not satisfied with equality and seek vengeance instead.

4. They oppress their former oppressors and strip them of all of their rights and much of their property, creating a new generation of people oppressed and desiring retribution.
