Have We Reached Peak Climate Nuttery?
A new report tells us that man-made global warming is driving up prices. Please tell us this is parody. It’s far too risible not to be.
Oh, but no. We’ve been assured that it’s a serious paper. “Global warming and heat extremes to enhance inflationary pressures,” was published last week in the peer-reviewed journal Communications: Earth and Environment. Axios tells us the study “??incorporated more than 27,000 observations of monthly price indices across 121 countries in the developed and developing worlds during the 1996 to 2021 period, along with high-resolution weather observations.”
From that, the authors were able to determine that “human-caused climate change” is likely to worsen inflation.

No. And please don't profess that we have, or are even near peak insanity.
Every time I say we're approaching peak clown world, something happens that makes the previous occurrence look like nothing in comparison.
We are definitely full steam ahead charging towards the cliff, and well beyond the event horizon, but we're nowhere near the hysterical climax that will ultimately result from all this nonsense. We will certainly get there- just not quite yet.

Nah, we've hopefully reached peak journalistic nutters though.
It amazes me how much communication of climate change is botched. It could be so simple, "it's consistenly hotter and drier so we use more irrigation causing prices to rise" or "this river is beautiful don't dump shite in it" are things anyone can understand.
But instead it's full of doomsday hyperbole and two faced shitheads trying to use it to enrich themselves.

I keep saying this but I’ll say it again, it’s all a shell game. We have reduced absolutely zero emissions in this country for decades. What we’ve done is off load our pollution to the other side of the globe. We’ve accomplished that by shipping American manufacturing to China and India. Big business gets cheap labor and huge profits and politicians get their hands in the green energy cookie jar

No. We have pulled back from it some. Peak was when they were saying that in our lifetime the globe would be almost uninhabitable. Now they are saying it will be a little warmer by the end of the century. That is a big swing toward sanity.

Funny thing is that Earth is greener during warm climate periods and plants love CO2. It's the cold times that are the killers.
