Have we become too civilized (or soft, or feminized)?

Fauci and some of the other actors that have committed dirty, underhanded shite against the American people seem very comfortable and convinced of their own safety and well-being. Not just the fact they have security as well as a deep-state apparatus to shield them, but also knowing that the population generally will not act against them with violence.
Back at the founding of this nation, regardless of pardon or judicial process, these "public servants" would be tarred and feathered, harassed until driven out of town, homes burned. Into the mid/late 19th Century, lynching for those that were deemed to have "escaped justice" was not uncommon.

I wouldn't call it too "civilized", I'd say weak and tolerant. All this bullshite about equality and everyone should get the same. It became apparent to me years ago when every kid got a trophy kind of thing.
We've taught our young folks that life should be easy and fair...... and that's a damn lie!!! Life is not easy, not fair.
We see weak arse folks attempting to make it easy and fair..... and look where we end up! Boys can girls, everyone gets an A, nobody's feelings should ever be hurt, and disappointment isn't real!
The above is what's wrong with our society and culture.
We've taught our young folks that life should be easy and fair...... and that's a damn lie!!! Life is not easy, not fair.

I would say everyone is immune to all the BS because it is now on a daily basis and no one's life changes because of it.

Way back when, when the Revenge of the Nerds movie came out and was an overwhelming success. My Dad told me and my brother we were in trouble because the country just changed. We gave the weak power the weirdos a platform. He was right the nerds are hero’s . Then the everyone gets a trophy movement created todays mess. People don’t know how to lose. People no longer know what or how to deal with rejection or losing. It’s all that simple if you stop and think about it

In fact, you somewhat prove my point.
Amy Barrett went from pretty solid conservative to squish after she started getting death threats.
The real possibility of harm has impacted her.
The absence of such fear allows the left and their leaders to act unabated.

This.
We GenXers in the early 90's found that life did indeed suck and got depressed about it. Wrote songs about being depressed and all that bullshite. But we didn't say you should change the world so we could be happy.
We eventually got off our asses and made life work which is about all you can do.
Funny thing is, if you forget about your woes and help others, you become pretty fricking happy especially if you can laugh about all the dumb shite around you that you can't change.
