Hate is foreign to faith. Any religion that has hate as a foundational tenet isn’t faith

Whatever religion is and whatever it stands for is up for debate. But we can fail to comprehend what it is while remaining absolutely certain of what it is not. Hate is not religion. It is a perversion of religion so much so that it invalidates any claim to faith.

People hate people.....and that is undeniable. And in many cases, it has nothing to do with the person, just their affiliation with a said group or race.
Identity politics runs deep in the entire world.

Hate? Maybe forced conversion lest you pay taxes or have your daughters stolen and forced to marry some pervert, while others are raped and killed.

Hate? What would you call it? A religion that you white night for?

White night?

Are we really going to start talking about forced conversions? I’m due to travel to Toulouse in a few weeks, and I’m going to visit the ruins of some Cathar castles. Tens of thousands of Cathars were killed during the 13th century in the name of Christ. Does that mean that Christianity is a hateful religion?

I think it is worth noting that what you are referring to as Christian is actually a government sanctioned persecution. I would equally argue that whatever religion is, it certainly cannot be controlled by government or interwoven with government. When a religion and state are jointly operating it ceases to be a religion and becomes a political force.

Where in the Bible does it say that Christians should conquer non-believers by force? Where in the Bible does it say that Christians should treat non-believers different than believers?

You are talking about the actions of men. The correct context for this argument is the scriptures each religion deems holy. In the proper context, there is a stark, undeniable difference between Christianity and Islam, even Christianity and Judaism.

Did Christ command his followers to convert or kill?

'Cause, you know, Mohammed did.

Hate of sin is critical to Christianity. God hate’s sin and we are to live what He loves and hate what He hates.

Christians are to act in love towards others, certainly, but we can’t act like there is no place for righteous anger and intolerance of wickedness.
