Because this is their utopia. This is what they want. Misery loves misery. These people are sick and evil. The others are to brainwashed and blatantly ignorant to know anything else.

This Dennis Green press conference often comes to mind when thinking about the left. We spend too much time focused on them, but the truth is it is our own side who has failed to stem the tide. Think of the boomer worried about his pension fund more than if his kids school is teaching him to hate America.

The "Left" of the which you speak are made up of two essential societal groups; the weaker and less intelligent/powerful people who can not compete and prosper in a Capitalist/Free Market system, and the intelligent who purport to care and design society (government) in a way that supports the weak.

In a prosperous society, it is the weak that always has more children (for obvious reasons, if they don't have to support said children) as the strong and affluent find more interesting life options and limit their offspring in order to explore said options.

The Middle Class has always been the glue that holds the three Classes together, but when and once the Lower Class grows to a point that the Middle Class must bear greater and greater burdens of subsidization of the less powerful, and in the current scenario the Less Powerful make a Moral Demand (Social Justice/Income Equity) backed by Marxist Theory...then here---we----go!

And further, Books like "The Fourth Turning" document the character strengths and weaknesses of even and especially Middle Class folk who for the reasons elucidated in said Book, lose vision, motivation and the ability to maintain societal prosperity.

I think your assessment is more than half right, T, as it is always the weak that link that breaks the chain. But if one takes into account Morality, Spirituality and the First Premise of a Loving God who lends Mercy (Jesus' job) over Justice, then relative strength or intellect becomes a moot issue. As Love reshuffles the 'prosperity' deck. Joe Biden and Hunter were apparently smart enough to manipulate their place in our Capitalist System to get where they are, but are they good and moral? Joe believes so. So does the Left. So did Karl Marx.

The Founders were very smart, wise, strong and realistic. The Native Americans that the Founders conquered might well have been as well. "The pursuit of happiness" covers a lot of territory.

Actually their perception is they’re the only ones who care about everyone else and that WE are the ones who only care about ourselves.

That if we were just as smart as them we’d see how their way was best for everyone. Of course they’d benefit the most, someone has to be in charge.
