Dems can only blame themselves.
I'm 56, I think this is the 1st time in my lifetime that the bench has maybe considered a majority conservative.
And all these years I've been told that the country is mostly middle to right/ conservative. Yet the bench was aligned this way
I look at it as something that is long overdue... I don't look at it as the democrats getting what they deserve that's not how I look at this.

I don’t either. But I know for a fact that if you think something is good; it will be horrible for working people.

I’ll see that, and raise you:
Biden nominated a candidate for SCOTUS who didn’t even know what a woman was.

Dingy Harry is one of the most fitting nicknames ever.
Rush and Trump shared a true genius for nicknames. Trump neutered opponents with pithy nicknames that highlighted their flaws. “Little Marco” emphasized that Rubio looked like a kid.
In my opinion, the funniest was Rush’s nickname for the head of the UN, Boutros Boutros Ghali. Rush called him Boutros Boutros by Golly, which underscored the ridiculousness of having the same first and middle names.

“But if there is one thing which will always be true, it is this: Majorities are fickle. Majorities are fleeting. Here today, gone tomorrow. That is a lesson that, sadly, most of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle haven’t learned for the simple reason that they have never served a single day in the minority. So the majority has chosen to take us down this path. The silver lining is that there will come a day when roles are reversed.”

A second hand Bud is all I would have ever given him ... straight from the tap.

I'm pretty sure the USSC appointments still went the normal route for appointment - 60 votes for cloture and then a simple majority for final.

Today is the day your “pretty sure” is “pretty wrong”.
Gorsuch, Kav, and Barrett were all confirmed using the nuclear option that Harry Reid introduced as way to get radicals on the federal bench.
He actually broke the rules of the Senate to change the rules of the Senate.
If not for the nuclear option, Trump wouldn’t have been able to nominate such conservative judges.
The dems have nobody but themselves to blame. Their “by any means necessary” mantra has come back to bite them on the arse.

If you know it for a fact, you should have no trouble giving a few examples, right?

Tex, be honest. When Harry Reid first broke the rules of the Senate, you celebrated without thinking of the consequences.

I knew the consequences right away. It would lead to the country becoming a nation of extremists.
It should take 60 votes to pass any legislation or confirm any appointment. If you can't get 60 votes, then the legislation or the nominee doesn't deserve to be passed or approved.
That and Gerrymandering need to be fixed.
Gerrymandering produces a ridiculous number of "safe" elections-- where extremists on both sides, who should have the political ceiling of County Commissioner, get elected as Legislators and Senators-- and, God forbid, Presidents.

I understand gerrymandering and electing House of Representatives- I am with you there
Senator and President- aren’t those decided by most votes within the state?
How would gerrymandering come into play?
Every person in a state has equal opportunity and access if they are smarter than a 1st grader and can figure out how to vote.

Only an idiot would think that Jackson doesn't know what a woman is. And only an idiot (like Blackburn) would ask someone an asinine, generic question like that in a confirmation hearing for a position on the Supreme Court.
Without context, there is no right way to answer that question.
What are the circumstances in which the definition is to be used?; what is the legal question to be resolved by the definition?
Of course, no matter what answer she gave, she would be crucified by morons who now think she couldn't give an answer.
Here's a small fact (that would otherwise be wasted).
A Supreme Court Justice would never be called on to give a definition of a substantive term used in a case before the Court.
The definition would already have been proposed by the respective sides and respective judges would then decide what definition he or she deems as appropriate under the facts and law of the case.
Which is the point that Judge Jackson was trying to get over to Blackburn at the hearing.

True. I got distracted trying to balance myself on my soapbox.
