I see in that one box
apple cinnamon oatmeal
peanut butter oatmeal bars
pancakes
tuna and pea mac salad
tom and bean soup
peanut butter and apple biscuits (sandwiches)
mac casserole with beans
"peach cobbler"
all she sees is work which i am assuming she is not use to
will that last a month no but i guarantee that's a box from a charitable donation center that she can prob grab once a week

I made a pot of black eyed peas last night. Made it the same way I do red beans. Tasso, ham hock and andouille. It was delicious. It wasn't really cheap with all the meat I put in the pot but I can eat on that for days.

The OCD side of me wonders why there is a box within a box. Seems wasteful.

this isn't real nothing on tik tok is real, that box made no sense, the green beans were expensive green beans margret holmes a boutique brand $2.49 a can at krogers so no you wouldn't get those in your EBT box.
i wouldn't eat a bag of apples in a year, let alone an entire bag of cuties (the oranges) this is someone, who doesn't cook, doesn't have a family, isn't on EBT but imagines that this is what a box of EBT food would look like, if boxes of EBT food existed, and posted it on tik tok to generate clicks.

There isn't one thing she showed which I wouldn't buy and eat:
Apples
Oranges
Oats
Milk
Beans, Green beans, Pinto Beans, Peas
(whatever this is) Biscuits
Tuna
(and whatever she left out)
Look, that may only last a few days but I'll take them off her hand if she doesn't want it.

The S in SNAP stands for supplemental. SNAP is supposed to help in covering your food needs, not be the entire source of your food needs.

There should be no snap - just healthy rations weekly

Need to forward this to my wife...... who shops all the sales and buys multiple cases of items to donate our parish church food bank every month without fail. She has deals worked out with the local Rouse's market manager for bulk purchases.
Bet she'd love to see what people think of her efforts (and generosity of our time / money).

Queue the "what if they don't eat leftovers" apologists.
Having a stance of not eating leftovers is about like that of being a vegetarian (or especially a vegan): the person just hasn't yet been hungry enough. Starvation is a powerful motivator.

I didn't grow up poor but was definitely middle class. leftovers was always on the menu.

She should be charged for that. That's probably close to $40.00 worth of food. This ghetto bit(h is getting it for free? Hell NO!

One night of the week was leftover night. If you didn't want that, enjoy your water.

The government could easily put together boxes like that to send out instead of food stamps. They could even hire the people on food stamps to work in the warehouses and distribution chain since they all need jobs. It would be way cheaper than just handing them free money. And then there's the bonus to the healthcare system as these people are cut off from all the sugar and junk food freeing up resources down the road.

That box is about what I think food stamp recipients should get.
You won’t starve, but there’s plenty incentive to go get a job

Then how would the large food conglomerates get their government-provided payments? Soda companies in particular are some of the largest beneficiaries of SNAP. Do you want Coca-cola and YUM! Brands to starve?
Exactly. The food and soda industries have lobbyists in Wash DC because SNAP and EBT are huge money makers for their junk food products. These corporations don't want that cash whale to stop drinking soda pop and eating snacks.
The lobbyists have already appeared in congressional hearings to oppose a proposition to limit food stamp purchases by prohibiting junk food purchases. This is a fact.

Handing out free money is the best way to buy votes and the soda pop industry likes the system as it is.

100% . It isn't my job to give them quality of life.
If you give someone everything they need, why would they ever seek employment?
