Because CSPAN doesn't cut away from the proceedings, and you don't have to listen to prattling talking heads.
Fox isn't as bad about it as MSNBC and CNN, but they still do it.

I hate the Imperial Presidency but if the branches are co-equal how can the Legislative force the Executive to give them anything? If the Legislative can force the Executive to waive executive privilege then the branches aren't co-equal. It makes no sense.

I hope the WH counsel says that the House could have called witnesses during the House Impeachment proceedings. They just chose to rush through everything instead of letting the subpoena process play out.
