Check out the Walther CCP M2. It was specifically designed for smaller hands and to be much easier to chamber a round into battery.

The other suggestions are fine, but this I think fits the specific requirements you mentioned.

Also, remember smaller guns are more difficult to shoot. A lot of women make the mistake of buying a small gun because they're small in stature and they find out it's hard to control.

Off top of head I would recommend the HK VP9 or Glock G19. The VP9 has better ergos but the G19 has cheaper mags. Get a couple extra mags. Buy a real quality holster and contact one of your local professional trainers and get a real handgun class in. In those classes you'll learn how to use it, reload and how to handle an issue.

VP9sk is perfect. Or a P2000sk in 9.

My wife is 5’4" 105 lbs.
Has no problems shooting a Glock 26 and Glock 19.

That’s my concealed carry choice and I’m 604 260. Conceals easily and a couple of extra mags don’t bulk up my left pocket if I feel the need to carry extra ammo.

It was the darndest thing. I was shooting at sharks in the ocean while riding my Sea-Doo like a skateboard and it just slipped straight out of my hands.

I’ve had a Ruger revolver for years that I carry in my purse on the reg (and love)
Just stick with that. As long as you are carrying, you have a fighting chance.
If you're set on a semi auto, the choices are seemingly endless. Go to a gun shop and get a feel for them in your hands.

My daughter is very petite, she loves her 380 Ruger LCP2, but there are many compact pistols out there, just get one with a high reliability rating. S&W, Glock, Ruger
If you'd like a little more without going big look at a subcompact single stack in 9mm. I really like my S&W Shield for CC.
Most important is to go shoot. Shoot in a proper stance aiming at targets until you are proficient, and then shoot from more practical positions like sitting. Learn to instinct shoot without the sights. It's easy with a little practice.
Get yourself one of these! Laser Trainer There are many brands.
ETA: keep one in the chamber girl, I don't want you having to rack in an emergency.

Yeah...we need to know if there are any obstructions for using a two handed technique. You may need special hogan grips.

But really, if a mob of violent people were to come knocking, the very best thing you could have is an AR15.
Meh, I prefer a shotgun (especially with the plug removed). The sound of a shell being chambered is enough to send most of them running without having to fire a single shot. For funsies you can shoot straight up and have the pellets rain down on them for added effect.

Pics?
Then I can make a better recommendation.
Either way, please quit carrying in your purse, it is too hard to get out if you need it.

Ruger SR9.
My daughter learned to shoot pistol on that firearm, at 10 years old. She's 15 now, 4'11 and 90 pounds, and still loves it.

Sig P365 is the go to sub compact now. I have one and I know several others that have them. Excellent gun, especially for the price point. Small enough for people with small hands. My wife has very small hands and she has no issues with it.
I also have a Springfield XDS which is a great gun and just a touch thinner than the Sig, but the Sig is overall smaller and has a smoother action. On top of that, it has double the capacity.

My girlfriend is an RN and works nights a lot so I wanted her to have a gun in her vehicle but she’s terrified of them. I let her shoot my Glock 19 and she ended up loving it so I bought her one too. You can’t go wrong with the Glock 19. It’s not overly big but it still has plenty of stopping power and shoots like a dream.

The Beretta Tomcat with the tip-up is really nice for weak hands. The drawback of course is that the 32 acp doesn't have a lot of punch. But if you can't handle anything more, its pretty much what you have to go with.
