An ultra-exclusive Hamptons yacht club catering to the wealthy and well-connected was forced to suspend its members-only restaurant service for multiple days after several of its kitchen staff were booted from the country over visa issues, The Post has learned.
The swanky oceanfront Devon Yacht Club in Amagansett — which reportedly charges around $100,000 in initiation fees — canceled its Wednesday night dinner service after it lost its foreign cooks, according to a letter sent to members the same day.

Food service was also canceled Thursday and is not expected to be back up and running until Friday’s lunch service, the club informed its deep-pocketed members — a group that once included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’s parents.
“The H2B visa approval for our cooks is still not resolved,” the letter obtained by The Post stated, referring to special visas that allow US employers to fill seasonal or temporary positions with foreign nationals.

“Needless to say, this is causing consternation not only for our Club management and its Members, but also for our hard working staff.”
The pricey yacht club offered its high-spending members “a limited selection of bar bites” on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

you mean the staff that you enslave by paying them a fraction of what they should be making while you enrich yourself?

I voted for this.

Doubtful.

This seems like a real dilemma for the left.
Rich people are being harmed because the illegals employed at their ultra-exclusive yacht club can't prep their meals.

I am unconcerned with seal doubts.

Now there’s no way those employees could afford housing there so I would think they had them stuffed together in some type of shelter out of eyesight. Can’t have them visible to those snobs

Yeah. It’s like the employees that work at Jackson Hole. They have to house them because they can’t afford to live in Jackson.
Same with all the expensive resorts really.
I just did a trip to Montana for a special year of anniversary (don’t give much detail any longer due to a loon stalker here) and stayed at a guest ranch.
They had a cabin in the back set up like a dorm for their employees.
These foreigners kitchen workers likely live over an hour away.

Who will cut the grass, wash the dishes and serve the food?

Thank goodness it wasn’t a “teen” takeover.
I was worried for the safety of the patrons from 13-19 year olds.

Hire Americans.
Pay well and they'll do your work.

More Democrats taking advantage of people they see as weak who they can control and manipulate. They just keep modern slave ownership alive.

They bring in foreigners under visas that don't require them to pay FICA. It's why American young people can't get jobs at ski resorts and places like that. This BS needs to end.

'Member when that used to be young college kids who relished the opportunity for a wild, coming of age job like that? 1980's Hollywood showed me the way.
I 'member

Or, and hear me out here, stop paying millions of Americans to sit at home.
