I am HOPING you are tongue in cheek with this but I am much more hoping that Isarael is not naive enough to fall for any "good will gesturing" done by Hamas. The price still needs to be paid by them.

Israel needs to do what they said and wipe out hamas. If not they will have to eventually do this again.

The only problem with that is that they have absolutely no intention of releasing any hostages. The hostages are almost certainly already dead.
It would just be a waste of time.

It should be expected that they cooperate. They are in no position to make demands or deals. They release the hostages or every living thing in Gaza is dead. As it stands, I’d still go through with a fine tooth comb and arrest or kill anyone remotely related to Hamas.
