Nope. ADP is about the "cheapest" we can find.

Man that isn't good. They take care of ours as well at my office. (And they are overpriced FWIW)

The true litmus test for this crap of a law will be the midterms - will be interesting to see where people truly stand come NOV. Thanks for sharing your story. Glad to see I'm not the only one getting reamed.

Wait...

...what?

Wow, that's about the nicest thing anyone's said to me on this board. I figured I'm always just killing time farting in the wind.

Didn't you chide me for this earlier?

Yeah, I'm just making fun of all the posts accusing me of being stupid for not understanding your statement. They all indicate that they saw your statement as accurate, and yet you admitted yourself that you had mis-typed it.

No biggie, again, just having some fun.

But yes, the bigger picture is that Obamacare sucks for you and just about everyone else on the board. Personally it hasn't affected me one jot - yet.

I do know quite a few people it has helped, but I would like to figure out in my mind if it's worth helping those ones for the pain it's causing you and others. It's awfully hard to do when people exaggerate the claims made against it. Not that I'm accusing you of that anymore, I see you simply mis-typed.

Decency and decorum prohibit me from posting anything about Obamacare until I cool down.

I spent the morning at the BCBS office in Bham. I made them drag out the old and new policies and we did a stare and compare. They kept telling me the hospital was going to eat $16k like it was some type of consolation.

I personally can't wait for some jackass to tell me to my face how Obamacare gave them health insurance. I might be a facilitator for them to use their newfound free bennies.

You know what I really hate about dumbasses? They don't have a clue what they're doing. If I'm about to execute a DB altering SQL, I don't have the idea "Don't worry. I won't frick it up." I approach it with caution. Make sure there aren't any side effects. Only after I'm sure do I run the SQL.

OTOH, take these Dem morons who passed Obamacare. They're like idiots who walk into a car dealership and write a check and never question anything on the bill of sale. THE THOUGHT OF CHECKING THE DETAILS IS COMPLETELY FOREIGN TO THEM!!!

All I can say is, "Thanks assholes. If I can ever find a way to frick you over royally, I'll do it."

I must hang with the "wrong" crowd then. I literally know no one it has helped personally from a financial standpoint. It's all been negative. But I hang with a group of successful people. So my view is skewed I suppose.

I think Obama frickED UP the naming of this law pretty badly. If he would have called it "The Get Everyone Covered Act" that would make more sense. But the fact is it's not "affordable" for almost anyone signing up UNLESS you're now covered by Medicaid. Which is shite.

Sort of a funny / not-so-funny story. My wife belongs to the "Mom's" group on Facebook. Almost EVERY SINGLE request for a Doctor referral is one that accepts medicaid. "Does anyone know of a dermatologist within 25 miles that accepts Medicaid" was the exact question from a few days ago.

I mean, I get the idea... More people paying = less money. But more people aren't paying and now I, and most people I know, ARE paying for it. Which sucks.

Oddly enough... I'd would support a national sales tax like Canada has if it meant I paid less for coverage.

But we can't do that. That would affect "poor" people too much.

You guys should reach out to Bloomberg about how detrimental Obamacare is to our country, they need to correct this article I guess.

Maybe so. I make it a point not to hang out with any specific crowd. I like all types of people and I try not to hold their economic status against them.

It's less coverage if you have to pay more of a deductible before payment kicks in genius!

So yes clown, he pays MORE premium for LESS coverage if coverage used to start after a $1000 ded and now it is $5000, the insurance is covering LESS of the same charges.

Think before you guys try to be smartasses.

I never do either. At the same time, I tend to surround myself with successful people on purpose. One of the keys to success is to hang with others who are successful.

"You are who you hang with" type of deal. I mean, I do hang with a few college students (my cousin goes to UCF) but most of them are success minded people. And most are NOT Obama supporters. Weird for college students.

I have no clue. But the major sticking point from Democrats about the national sales tax is that it would cost the poor more for their necessities. You know like food (which isn't taxed if it's not prepared) or big screen tv's.

Seriously... I don't know why they object to it. It would solve this whole fricking problem.

What a stupid semantics debate.

Premiums vs. deductables/copays. When he's saying he's paying more, he's talking about premiums. When he's saying he's getting less, he's talking about how less of his bills are being paid by insurance due to the change in copays.

You've focused on the semantics of what he said because you didn't want to address his actual point. Everyone here recognizes that. And, it makes you look like a fool.
