But seriously, DISMANTLE all of these "ballistic missile detection" agencies run by state governments

How the hell was this ever allowed to be implemented in the first place???

This is like setting bear traps between the bed and the shithole (bathroom)

It may be harder if the system is hard programmed in, which is likely.

You serious? I was not.

I find it hard to believe, especially with this location, that something of this magnitude would be in the hands of civil defense. You would think, if right minded, the civil authorities would be the ones being notified of an eminent attack.

Why did the State of Hawaii purchase a missile alert system? Every branch of the Armed Forces has a base in Hawaii.

Couldn't the Air Force be relied on to handle this function?

Hawaii is run by Democrats. Therefore, it was their mistake.

There has to be an investigation.

I’m a high level federal employee and am more familiar with the process that any of the detractors here.

We don’t know all the facts here. If it was accidental or heaven forbid intentional, re-training is certainly in order.

In your opinion, is alerting the public of a ballistic missile attack a function of State or Federal government?

Yeah, when teachers screw up they are reassigned to rubber rooms.
When priests screw up they are reassigned to a new parish.
