Now lets never say the shooters name and just say how big of a loser he was in life and in death. Need to stop with making them celebrities. Hopefully someone thinking of doing this is put off by the failure that this guy was and how there are people in these schools that will shoot back.

really don't think I will ever be able to understand the motivation behind a person that shoots up a school.

Most crimes have a motive behind them, but I can't think of what provides the motivation to do this.

Wonder if moron realized security was armed?

I think not.

But once again a legal gun stopped evil. Thankfully, fast action, this time, appears to have prevented death.

Absolutely, this man did his job and saved no telling how many lives. Proof positive that armed guards can save lives at schools.

Suck on that David Hogg.

But what kind of gun did he use. Only the type of gun matters right now

Hogg is on the case!

Actually a good guy with a gun made sure that it did not continue - it stopped.

Can't really compare the two IMO.

One makes a choice to kill yourself, the other has no choice. FWIW, I'm 100% supportive of select teachers being armed.

No...it actually ended...if it had been like you socialist want with a total gun free zone with no one armed, it would have been another mass shooting...instead an individual with a gun stops another individual with a gun...see how it works?!

Ohhhh so you wanna talk about innocent victims who die due to someone else's choice?

The 46k people who don't smoke and die from second hand smoke every year would like a word. That's roughly 10k more than total firearm deaths (including suicide) each year. They didn't have a choice. They're dead all the same.

Just a small portion of the half million deaths a year due to smoking.

But hey. Let's focus on saving lives from those scary ar15 that kill less people in a YEAR than cigs kill in a DAY.

well BamaATL doesn't see how a gun can be used for good so he/she doesn't understand these reports. Can someone get a "peer reviewed" paper on this incident to BamaATL so he/she can have an opinion on it.

Good. We need armed guards in all schools. Until this happens Liberal politicians have blood on their hands.

This incident could not come at a worse time for the left - their big march on DC for gun control is supposed to happen this weekend and then this happens, which is a 100% validation of the NRA and President Trump positions on school shootings.

Since tarzana (Low Energy!) posted this thread, the article has been updated to announce that the shooter has died. Great job by the security
