I am MAGA as most, but if we have anything less than status quo on the second amendment Trump will be in trouble. Doing anything either way on guns would be stupid for him to sign, talk about playing into the Ds hands. We know he won't see legislation expanding gun rights with a D controlled house.

I don't understand the angle by Trump/GOP unless they're just so out of touch. It's not like gun grabbers were ever going to vote for them anyway.

Lastly, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi loaded the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) reauthorization with reams of gun control — and Republicans may sign off on it. Under section 801 and 802, everyone you’ve ever dated could bring a secret ex parte proceeding to strip you of your guns — and of your Fourth, Fifth and 14th Amendment rights as well. With no due process whatsoever.

Yea that’s not gonna hold up in the Supreme Court

And — oh, yes — Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham is still holding up the possibility of cutting a deal with anti-gun Senator Richard Blumenthal to encourage Gun Confiscation Orders in all 50 states.
And I used to think very highly of Gun Owners of America. This is downright made up BS and sad.

Exactly. Add independent voters and a few democratic voters now. That sounds like the play

Jesus Christ, some of you are as bad as the sky screaming bitches on the other side.

Not a single thing in the OP is an actual action. It is all "thinking about" and "talked about". "Considered" and "may".

Grow a pair of nuts.

I didn’t vote for him in 16 (I voted 3rd party) but was planning on voting for him in 20. His anti-2A actions/talk is making it hard for me to continue to support him.

I think most can agree that we don't want the guy who is arguing with his shopping cart to be armed.

However, we also know that as soon as you enact confiscation laws they are going to be abused.

Anyone who has ever been through a divorce, or known people who have gone through a divorce, knows that false allegations of abuse are just part of the playbook.

Once a judge issues an order to confiscate your guns you are going to wake up with a SWAT team busting through your door.

And then, when you finally get a chance to go to court, the judge is going to be real hesitant to allow you to have your guns back because no judge is going to want to be the guy who arms someone who commits a crime with a gun 24 hours later - and if a judge handles enough cases that will happen sooner or later.

You forgot:

"I like taking guns away early," Trump said. "Take the guns first, go through due process second."

Caring about the 2nd amendment and being able to protect your family and country is being a pussy now I guess.

Trump already banned bump stocks with an unconstitutional executive order.

Yeah, yeah, we know, you don't care about bump stocks, they're dumb, blah blah.

Feinstein sure is happy about Trump's position on firearms.

Since no Supreme Court decision (and not even Scalia in his Heller opinion} has ever held that, you continuing to parrot that is just more baying at the moon.
