Is there ANY independent verification of this? Has the deal been signed? We have had pretty much free reign to Greenland for defense purposes since 1951.

Why so touchy? You know that Trump has lied about Greenland and all sorts of deals before, right? I just asked if there were independent verification.
I even posted verification from the Danes. Looking forward to seeing what the signed agreement actually says.

From what I have read so far it sounds like what is particularly noteworthy about this is all non-NATO countries being banned from Greenland. Also, it sounds like Trump is saying we are going to be able to mine rare Earths there, which is huge.

I said he has lied about Greenland (hospital ship is on the way!) and he has lied about deals (the Iranians have agreed to let us collect the nuclear dust!). Do you disagree?
Also, how on earth are you claiming that we "got" Greenland? It SOUNDS like it's just an expansion of the already "permanent" 1951 deal.
Trump gets high marks, as always, for trying to solve a problem. I wouldn't get too excited, though, until we see the SIGNED deal.

Of course there is some agreement coming out, but none of us no what the language of the "deal" actually is. I will wait to read the fine print. Spoiler alert: it has nothing to do wotht the US owning Greenland.
