Here's a link to the full text of the report. The biggest methodological problem with the study is that it wasn't randomized, so you can't guarantee that there were no differences between the study group and the control group that would effect the outcome. FDA isn't going to approve a medication based on a non-randomized study of 20 patients.

That being said, if I come down with COVID-19, bring on the chloroquine. I'll take my chances with a little diarrhea. Actually, I took chloroquine as malaria prophylaxis when I went to Nicaragua, and the only side effect for me was vivid dreams.

What needs to be approved? Both of these drugs are in normal circulation. 200mg of this, 100mg of that. etc.
