Totally Agree... this is the difference between Conservatives and Liberals.. Conservatives are not bound by party loyalty, whereas with Liberals the needs of the whole collective outweighs the needs of the individual.

Absolutely it does. I've seen plenty of it in my local community. The only difference is the amount of money they're grifting.
It's actually inevitable unless we somehow get to a point where everyone is okay not being able to keep secrets. Meaning, unless we all subject ourselves to constant surveillance with an appointed rule maker governing us, political interests and business interests are always going to overlap and someone is always looking to game the system.

I think I see what Graham is doing here and it may not be quite as negative as it appears.
There's going to be no dramatic testimony from any of the witnesses the Democrats covet. Trump will or would assert executive privilege (and legitimately so), and that gets tied up in court for a rather lenghty period of time, dragging out the trial. So again, bottom line, those witnesses won't be heard, in all likelihood. Dems know this.
And in that situation, wherein it had been opened up for witnesses, we'd realistically only be left with actual testimony from witnesses subpoenaed by the Trump team. Sounds great at first, but the negatives are this: The optics of only Republican witnesses being able to testify and no Democrat witnesses being able to testify plays into Democrat hands. Furthermore, Republican witnesses will in no way even be necessary for acquittal for the President.
So to sum it up, I tend to agree with Graham.....avoid negative optics, take the easy win and put this utterly divisive trial behind us, and open an investigation into the Biden matters separately.

It is something that some lawyers do to exhibit collegiality and “professionalism”. It is also a way of disarming your opponent to make him feel good about himself and overconfident about his case before you take him apart. Look at Schiff. He believes he’s being complimented by someone whose opinion he values. Graham is way smarter than and more politically adroit than Schiff who is handicapped by his delusions of grandeur.

Didn’t I hear early on the news that Ms. Lindsey was going to investigate the Bidens from his own committee?
That would essentially preclude the Biden’s from needing to testify....for now.
Maybe I’m reading the tea leaves all wrong, but he wants his own crack @ Biden. Plus it gives it credence if Biden gets questioned about the same shite Trump is accused of doing.
