re: Graham is looking for 4 Senators to vote with him to keep Biden from testifying

Re: Graham's stated interests and intentions to open a Biden probe in his own committee, Biden testifying in the impeachment trial *could* potentially harm any efforts in Graham's committee. How that would work is Dems would vehemently argue that the Biden accusations were debunked during the trial and that this chapter should be closed. And they'll do their typical good to great job at muddying the waters with that argument. Which leads to extra scrutiny of a subsequent Graham opening of a new Biden investigation. So in these ways, Graham would have a better palette to work with in such a separate investigation.

but yes you're correct it needs to end. As it is... witnesses would postpone SOTU and could bring the trial to what Burr originally predicted 6-8 weeks.
If I am reading the tea leaves accurately, Trump's defense team will all but seal the thing in the next couple of days. Graham's gambit should give GOP mugwumps enough cover to send the House managers packing.

So how does this even look in practice? Graham says he needs 4. That makes 5 people which of course on its own doesn't get anything done in this matter. So I guess he's referring to voting alongside Democrats to decline to subpoena Biden? Because as I understand it, only 4 crossover Republicans are needed to give the Dems a simple majority.
In any event, I suppose Graham is helping to open the door for a more acceptable crossover of Repubs only for this specific purpose. But again, in practice it would seem Graham only needs 3, if indeed he's signaling that he himself would vote no to a Biden subpoena....resulting in the 4 necessary.

This is the same Lindsey Graham who flew to NJ to be a character witness for Menendez during his corruption trial despite the rampant rumors of his involvement with teenage girls. That’s when I knew the swamp was for real. They act like they fight each other in front of the cameras but they protect each other from outsiders.

Schiff did himself no favors today when intimating Trump told GOP Senators he'd have their heads on a pike if they crossed him.

Ten fo
Yeah Schiff managed to offend the Republicans on quite a few occasions, that being one that sticks out as well as insinuating that they are oblivious to what's going on around them and simply defer to Fox News for all their information and worldview.

Even if both Biden's and the WB testified (and didn't cop the fifth) none of them will go to jail as they can't prosecute.
So Graham is correct but don't expect Graham to get a Special council or haul them in.

Why wouldn't they be prosecutable?

Yep. He sure starts acting strange anytime they bring up investigating the Bidens.
I don't care. Let them all burn.

Because Graham is not going to call on a special council; or make any criminal referrals to be stonewalled for Ukraine slush funds mostly all of them benefit from.
They are mad Trump gave the money to military aid and not the fake NGO CGI slush foundation there.
BTW: Will anyone ever check out Obama's foundation? Probably not just like Clinton's.

I see what you're saying, but let's say both Bidens testified, surprisingly didn't invoke the 5th, and surprisingly provided some compelling evidence of some sort of conspiracy that potentially violates U.S. law. Regardless of what Graham decided to do, couldn't the Justice Department upstart an investigation based on that testimonial evidence?
