''The Constitution is the problem, not the solution''

Gun nut types have IMAGINED a very strict interpretation of The 2nd that was neither original intent or in the amendment's language.

Why not go further in your absurdities and cry about not being able to own howitzers and landmines ?

wtodd, more rants name calling and IMAGININGS of the original intent of The 2nd.

I'll quote your hero George Wallace with my own twist.

PUT A BUNCH OF SOUTHERN WHITE CONSERVATIVES IN A SACK, SHAKE IT AND TURN IT UPSIDE DOWN, NOBODY WOULD WANT TO FALL OUT FIRST.
There isn't a nickel's difference between the lot of you.

While kind of off topic, let's not forget that Rick Scott's company paid the largest white-collar fine in the history of the United States. They had to pay about a billion dollars and he was forced to step down for stealing from the American people.

His opinion means Jack Squat.

''Irony and shite''

I didn't call you shite, just a stereotype who rehashes what practically everybody he knows drones on about.

I never read or hear much if any original thought from that particular group of crows.

How very Trumpster of you, attack the messenger.
If he'd said ''from my cold dead hands'' you'd be praising the man.

Your ignorance on this subject is impressive.

just like the left IMAGINES a very loose interpretation of drug and immigration laws and wants to ignore the legal process for amending the Constitution

basically the left/ANTIFA crowd is for general lawlessness except for the ones they FEEL they agree with

they are Exhibit 'A' for why no one should ever give up the right to arms

No, this will move to the back of the line of priorities for most voters.

It’s safe to assume he can’t define “assault style weapon”
Is it also safe to assume bumpstocks should have been banned immediately after Las Vegas?

Is it safe to assume complete, total, inexplicable inaction in that instance opens officials up to withering criticism in this instance?

We also know "assault weapon" bas apparently do not work. So rather than knee-jerking, we need to direct conversation to those things that actually could make a difference.

Instead of allowing this thing to frame around gun control, Rick Scott et al had better focus dialogue where it needs to be . . . law enforcement miscues, missed opportunities, and crazies getting legal access to guns. The problem is, instead of being relatively proactive, any decision/legislation which might now be derived from this appears to come under forced duress.

exactly

serious decisions should never be made during a time of high emotion

they will inevitably be bad decisions

There is nothing stereotypical about me UNLESS you mean I believe in the Constitution as written and intended....not the way it's been shite on and abused.

Tell me: where were were the media and the masses screaming at the president for gun control when Obama was in office?

Oh-that's right-he couldn't do it because Congress wouldn't do it, and he got a pass.

Especially when they controlled all three branches for a short period. They could have shoved through gun control just like they did Obama care yet they didn't. Why? They knew it wouldn't stand in the courts.

There's that term again. Can someone clarify me what defines an "assault weapon"?

I could use this spoon as a weapon and assault someone with it.

Somehow I doubt the program to reduce Hispanic youth arrests that leads to 39 empty trips to a shooter's house won't be on the table.

First, is it a weapon?
Second, did it assault you?

There you go.....could be a knife, a gun, a frying pan, a vehicle or with the pussiness of today it could be words.
