Got into a political discussion today with my liberal dumbass mother in law

I mentioned Antifa and she stopped me because she didn’t know what I was talking about. 100% serious there. She thinks she is so much smarter than Trump and his supporters but has literally never heard of Antifa. Then later on in the conversation (if you want to call what we partook in a “conversation” - more like talking to a fricking brick wall), she stated “I would rather be socialist than have a dictatorship like Trump”.
I shite you not, people. These fricking people are that stupid and uneducated. They are so passionately against Trump because they are so uneducated but think they know everything there is to know about America, political systems, and history.
God help us as long as these fricktards are voting.
Edited to add that my wife is the complete opposite from her mom. She’s as conservative as me. Even her veteran dad, who belonged to a union his entire adult life and voted Democrat the whole time, voted for Trump. Even he was converted, so thankfully the whole family isn’t brain dead.

If you even think about arguing to a lib, start off with asking what news they watch. Their answer dictates whether you even need to waste your time or not. Anything they say can be countered with a laugh and “you watch CNN, nothing you say is remotely close to reality”

My MIL 80 yrs old...no Pix, watches MSM and 60 Minutes and thinks it's Gospel.
Her sister, 78 yrs old...no Pix, watches the same yet is a solid Conservative.
Both are educated and had successful careers. The Aunt actually owned/ran a business in a Man Dominated field, while MIL was a successful Paralegal that worked for the same Firm for years.
