Do they have to vote by midnight on the bill?

I heard something today about if they don’t vote today they will have to wait 3 days to vote. Is this true or just BS

SALT Amendment

What exactly is the Salt Amendment? Will Collins still vote for the bill without it?

Getting rid of SALT would mean a tax increase for many people. So why do Repubs want to get rid of it?

"amendment from Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Mike Lee (R-Utah) to expand the child tax credit"

If you have kids you constitute more of a cost to the government than someone who doesn't have kids. So why should you get a get a break from contributing to the cost of something you did that constitutes a cost to the government? ( Is it obvious that I don't have kids? )

Oh, you cost the government X dollars more than these other people so you should get a special tax break that they don't receive, as a result of your costing the government more. Your action that is costly to the government should be rewarded.

The federal government should discourage population growth, not encourage it. Have you experienced Baton Rouge traffic lately??

We are already at a dangerously low population growth. You couldn’t be more wrong. Population growth is a necessity.

It would mean the rest of the country isn't going to subsidize taxes for a few states.

When are they voting on the actual bill?

Also, is the individual mandate repeal still in the bill, or did that get taken out in one of the amendments to get Collins on board?
