Cooper tire is a USA company
That may be. But every other OT tire thread for years is Yokohana this, Toyo that blah blah. Cooper doesn't matter then. Only now?

Of course that's your contention. You're a first year grad student. You just got finished readin' some Marxian historian -- Pete Garrison probably. You're gonna be convinced of that 'til next month when you get to James Lemon, and then you're gonna be talkin' about how the economies of Virginia and Pennsylvania were entrepreneurial and capitalist way back in 1740. That's gonna last until next year -- you're gonna be in here regurgitating Gordon Wood, talkin' about, you know, the Pre-revolutionary utopia and the capital-forming effects of military mobilization

I been using Cooper Tires for years on my company vehicles no complaints get 60,000 to 90,000 out of them with 10,000 mile tire rotations.
The Goodyear dealer sold them as they felt they are a good value versus Goodyear for the dollar.
I find the same level Goodyear and Firestone tires are softer where the tread does not last as long.

The company I work for banned all confederate flags on company property. I know most of you will say "surely you don't have confederate flags waving around at work", and we don't. But the guys from Mississippi can no longer wear the State flag on their arm.

Goodyear sucks anyways.

I've been using a mix of BFGoodrich and Cooper products for a while now. I would occasionally buy something Goodyear but I'll think I will avoid doing so now.
For you Pirelli guys, if you don't like China, you might want to consider another brand, they were recently purchased by a Chinese consortium a couple of years ago. ChemChina, a state owned Chinese company controls them now.

Well good. Everyone should. Even the cool kids who don't think they'll be bro country enough.

we do allow our associates to express their support on racial injustice and other equity issues
Oh, like the “racial injustice” that allows one race to express pride in their heritage? That allows one race to have an opinion, to present itself as superior? The “racial injustice” that gets one race promoted and hired simply because of their skin color? That allows them to say whatever they want, be as racist as they want without reproach, while others must walk on eggshells?

This is what America has become in 2020. This sentiment is the only sentiment the public is told exists.

Goodyear is committed to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace
It’s not inclusive.
Your own training material claims that political messages are not allowed unless it voices support for a radical left wing group associated with terrorist shootings as recently as 2016. It excludes specific messages from other world views.
Either you ban political messages (the smart thing to do) or you don’t. Pick one.
If they were actually doing what they said they were doing (fostering an inclusive workplace), the leaked photo would probably have never been taken in the first place, much less gone viral.

So what? If you disapprove, don't buy their product. Don't work there. Problem solved.
It’s a slippery slope and it’s concerning to me that this type of stuff could get widespread in corporate America.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Nike just report a massive write off?

This could be the start of a bad year for goodyear.

I think it already is. Any corporation putting out statements are supporting the rioting and looting crowd, and opposing the taxpayers and lawful crowd.
2020. What a year.
