If you want to talk to 'panicans' you should talk with Israel. They hit the panic button - that's why there's a cease fire.
Isreal took more damage and is in worse shape than Iran right now. Iran is much larger and has more stocks to fuel their combat efforts, far longer than Israel. Israel's air defense system is degraded and incapable of handling Iran's newer missiles. It is routinely overwhelmed by Iranian drones and older missiles. Being much larger, Iran isn't nearly as affected by Israeli strikes.
We've gone from UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER to a cease fire. This has been bad for Israel, tactically and strategically.
Further, there are now multiple nations interested in helping Iran attain nuclear weapons and the damage to Iran's nuclear program appears to be rather moderate, maybe minimal. If the damage has hindered their program from providing things like material for healthcare uses, I'm sure they'll easily get that stuff from other nations. Additionally, Iran now has a lot of motivation to go nuclear, thanks to this war. That is a huge lesson for them. I'd be shocked if they don't acquire nuclear weapons soon. Rogue nations that went nuclear (like NK) have not been attacked. All the nations that abandoned nuclear aspirations or simply de-weaponized as the result of demands from the West, got invaded.
There's been no regime change. It appears the people have rallied, not revolted. Despite targeted hits, Iran's command & control is still intact.
In short, Israel has fared worse and didn't get anything they sought. In fact, they may have hastened a nuclear armed Iran and potentially increased support for the Iranian regime among the Iranian people. This has been an L for Israel.
This has been bad for the US as well. Other nations see us as being duplicitous. We should disengage from this entirely.

Be less obvious as a bot, ElonWelfareQueen.
But I agree that it’s regime change or bust. The same regime will totally try to re-arm and go nuclear. But regime change is for the Israelis to do, not us.

Am I the only one who thinks these victory laps are premature?

Israel targeted only military targets and government officials. Iran lobbed a shitload of missiles into cities. The only Israel had worse was civilian damage. Iranian military leadership no longer exists. They can’t even launch aircraft to fend off a buzzard. Meanwhile Israel is sending advanced warnings to Iranian civilians of where strikes will occur.

Thread like this while Israel is dropping bombs in a ceasefire.

The victory lap is over the US crippling Iran’s nuclear program without losing one soldier, and Iran essentially laying down to us and calling uncle. That program was their “big stick”. It’s in shambles. I’m not naive enough to think the ceasefire between Israel and Iran will be permanent.

There is no such thing as victory in the ME.
